I really did feel for Noah, he is gay but he is so frightened someone will find out, that he really is in the closet big time. However, someone does find out, and he is then blackmailed with pictures of himself with a man, so he does the only thing he can do., he leaves his life with his Seal Team behind.
Now Mason is a man on a mission, he is a former Marine but now works for the FBI, and he is desperate to find the people who killed his brother in law - but it seems that someones doesn't want to Mason to find the truth.
Mason and Noah had met previously, and ended up having a one night stand, but Noah run out on Mason, I think scared that someone would see him and he would be blackmailed again. However, the two meet adain, and the spark is still there, but Noah is still firmly in the closet, and seems to be quite happy there.
Mason and Noah do grow closer, but it is really obvious that both men have hidden secrets, and yet neither are comfortable to speak to the other. But events in their lives mean they spend more time together, and slowly but surely they begin to open up to each other a little.
But fate as one last event to throw at them, and this will test them both, but it also mean that their true feelings will begin to emerge. This is the part of the book, where I could not put it down, as I needed to know what happened, and boy did this book have some twists in it tat I wasn't expecting.
