Martin has gone to Crooked Tree, to find out answers from Justin, but to begin with Justin seems to have no intention of explaining things to Martin, who is growing more frustrated. Martin stays around Crooked Tree, and he is put to work on the ranch, which Martin really enjoys - mostly for the reason that if he is bone tired, then he can sleep without the nightmares that plague him.
Then Tyler arrives at Crooked Tree, he is there for work, and Martin was given the task of helping him set up all his equipment. To begin with, Martin hates being with Tyler, who just doesn't seem to stop talking, but over time, Martin begins to enjoy his time with Tyler.
The two do become closer, but Martin seems convinced that he should not have any life, that he is to blame with what happened to Justin and Adam, even though he could not be more wrong on this. Is there any way that Tyler can show Martin that he can be loved, and that he deserves the life he could have at Crooked Tree.........
