You can't help but smile at the first meeting of Scott and Phineas, you can just picture the scene in your mind. To me, Scott comes across as someone who has lost some of his confidence, but most of this stems from his home life.
It was great to read a story where the MC's didn't jump straight into bed. Slowly over time, the two grown closer and closer. It seems like Scott is soaking up everything Phineas is teaching him about the country way of life - which he decides to put onto his social media.
However, strange things keep happening in the house that Scott has inherited from his grandmother, but he tends to ignore all these things. Then on top of this, while clearing the house, he comes across items that cause him to question things his family had told him.
Everything then takes a sudden downturn, and this was all due to Scott and his social media account - no matter that Phineas has a huge secret of his own. I should also say that at one point you may need a tissue or two too!
I have read this book twice, and I enjoyed it much more the second time of reading. I also know that this is a book that I will add to my read again pile or my vacation pile!
