Pages or Words: 78,000 words Categories: Contemporary, Erotica, Fiction, Gay Fiction, M/M Romance, Ménage/Poly, Romance, Western/Cowboy Excerpt: Chance was quiet for several minutes. A woodpecker in the front yard tree gave its high-pitched tweeting call before busily getting back to work. "I definitely was not prepared," he finally said. "And I know Tuck wasn't. I'll have to really sit and talk with him to see what he thinks. I can't decide if us leaving today is a good idea or a shitty one." "I'll miss you either way," Jake said. "I don't know Tucker well enough to know how long it takes him to think things through, and he might be uncomfortable being here. Which would suck. But you guys leaving and not being here to sort it all out sucks, too." "There isn't much of a choice," Chance sighed. "Our flight is at two. If I didn't have to attend a meeting at headquarters tomorrow, I'd try and change it. But we -- well, at least I -- need to get home." "I know." The distance sucked, and the fact that everyone had responsibilities they couldn't shake off was both a good thing and a bad thing. It made for good people, but it made it difficult to handle issues as they came up. "Maybe the four of us can make this morning a good one, and everyone will feel better by the time you leave. Even if things aren't completely settled, maybe they'll be better." "It'll be better right now if you kiss me like you mean it." Jake smiled and set his coffee mug aside. "Like I mean it?" He touched Chance's cheek and kissed his mouth softly. "More?" "More." Chance smiled against Jake's lips and kept his eyes closed. Jake gave him more, the smiles fading as the kisses deepened and Chance's mug was put down as well. They turned to each other, and Jake would have happily let his coffee go cold if he could stay right where he was for an hour or so. Chance didn't seem inclined to go anywhere, either. He put both hands on Jake's face and held him gently as he pressed light kisses to Jake's forehead, cheeks, and bridge of his nose before returning to Jake's mouth with a sweep of his tongue and a slight nip. "I'll miss you," he murmured into Jake's ear, then sucked Jake's earlobe into his mouth for a split second. "One of these days I'll ask you not to go," Jake whispered back. "Someday we'll stay together." Jake had no idea how that would work, but he knew that he wanted it. Chance pulled back and looked at him, eyes soft. "Maybe someday we'll work it out." Jake nodded and kissed him again. He was about to say something even more honest and probably embarrassing when the door opened and Tor said, "So, you two don't need more coffee, then?" Title: Secret of the Manor SynopsisWarren Blake is an accountant at the pinnacle of his career. After accepting a new position he decides to settle in the scenic Cotswold village of Walmsley Hackett. A village with a colourful history of myth, old wives tales and mystery. One morning during his train ride into work, Warren notices a small quaint church which he becomes enchanted with. Curiousity compels him to find the church and when he finally does, he discovers an unmarked grave in the corner. Feeling sorry for its occupant, Warren becomes a frequent visitor. Little does he know that the young man inside the coffin needs a champion and Warren is chosen. What follows involves a ghostly medieval joust, witchcraft, love, and Warren risking his life.
WOW - I could just stop my review there!
I really don't know how Taylin Clavelli does it, but once I started reading this book, I was pulled right into the story - even to the point of getting annoyed that the family needed me, as I just had to finish the story, had to know what happened. Now I should point out, that I usually don't read books that have history in them, for some reason I hate historical books, but this author has a way with her writing that just pulls me straight into the story, I really can't find the words to explain. I love the character of Warren, who is comfortable with who he is, but due to previous events prefers to lead a quiet life, and when he needs something else he will arrange a weekend away. He loves to the town of Walmsley Hackett, and explores the surrounding area, which includes a church with an unmarked grave. Something draws him to this grave, and he frequently goes there just to sit and talk..... little does he know that by doing this, he is then the champion for the person inside the grave, but what exactly does this entail? This is when everything takes off, and there are very vivid dreams - one of which was Warren taking part in a medieval joust, but it was just a dream.......... or was it?? There is also witchcraft and other mysterious things happening around him, and now Warren is determined to find out why this is happening to him. I really can't praise this book highly enough, if you love witchcraft, medieval, weird goings on etc., then get this book, you really won't be disappointed. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I would, as I enjoyed it that much. Buy LinksWIP: http://www.waywardinkpublishing.com/product/secret-of-the-manor-by-taylin-clavelli/
Miles, CEO of A-Genet, was a good man and a fine leader. Warren got on well with him. But, while Miles played host, Warren looked upon the party with a more cynical eye. It was an occasion where the title CEO took on a whole new meaning. At such times, CEO meant Cock-Enlarging Officer. The epithet worked for Warren on so many levels. Warren was sure Miles knew what happened every time he spoke to an ambitious employee, especially the males. The man’s winning words had an immediate effect, and the person he was talking to always changed his stance, and seemed to have more down his trousers than when he walked in.
The annual garden party was also a time many took advantage of to network, in various guises. One or two carried virtual knives. Warren knew the game rules. It was a necessary evil in a place where, if you didn’t watch your back, others took advantage. It wasn’t pretty, but it was better than the game some played. He’d been bitten by the latter before; it was one reason for his degrees of separation. Warren had settled into his comfortable cane chair and relaxed with a glass of wine. He completed the “Hello, darling; wonderful dress, are those new shoes?” social niceties expected of him with the wives, and the “This quarter is going well, any news on that contract?” dialogue with his colleagues in high management. He chinked glasses, ate well, smiled, and conversed with the willing. He stayed with his crowd, and was wary of others who approached him—climbers who decided he was one of those worth sucking up to. Maybe he was unfair to some, but he’d seen too many cases of backbiting to embrace an idealistic approach to office shenanigans.
The research behind Secret Of The Manor.
Secret Of The Manor, is a combination of research, my imagination and a lifetime of experience. Onto the research. Research is a combination of where to look and who to talk to. Witchcraft This included looking into the world of the Wiccan. I didn’t honestly know where to start here, so I called upon a lady who used magic in her writings. Since then, I’m proud to say that she has become a dear friend. I was delighted to discover that she was indeed an expert on the subject. I had a clear idea of how I wanted the witchcraft angle to read, and my friend ensured that I stayed within acceptable parameters and didn’t commit any witchcraft no no’s. History. Parts of Secret Of The Manor delve into the fifteenth century. One thing I love is history. It was my favorite subject at school, and my husband and I like to visit historical houses. So, I hit the books. I had to have manor events happen during an acceptable era. At the same time, my story couldn’t happen during any major, historically. Hence why I chose after the peasant uprising. The years following the uprising were not only times of change for the peasants, but it also saw a shift in power on the throne of England too. Times of change are always good periods to base stories as it gives them an air of believability. Looking through the history books, though, isn’t all about targeting events. It’s about researching fashion, food, and etiquette, as well as beliefs of the time. Nowadays, I believe there are few establishments, if any, that would serve peacock as the main course. The aim was to create in my head a factually correct world in which my characters could live in, then add my own touch of imagination. Once complete, I translated that to the page. Fifteenth-century language turned out to be somewhat of a nightmare. There many websites detailing the speech of the time; unfortunately, each website had its variances. I settled on one site whose information seemed the most authentic. However, when the manuscript was handed over to the Wayward Ink editors, it turned out I’d picked the wrong reference site. A lesson to all there – you can’t believe the worth of having good editors. They are invaluable. The other bits. As for the other parts of SOM, they come from a lifetime of experience. Bits from here and there. I have been a horse rider since I was 16 and am now 49. I’ve met a lot of people, and ridden a myriad of horses (all with their own personalities) from a Carthorse, and Thoroughbred, to the Shire. I have also galloped sands in Scotland, cantered the Cotswolds and walked the West Midlands. I have even been to the occasional joust re-enactment. While I have been to a lot of places, I have to say the village of Walmsley Hackett is purely fictional. Places like the village do exist, but I thought it best to give Walmsley Hackett a history of its own. A friend of mine asked if he could be in a story, so I named the village after him – in part. She’s married with children and loves her family with all her heart. Her love of books has been a long standing affair, with Taylin liking nothing better than to lose herself in an imaginary world. Until she met Lily Velden, she never considered trying her hand at writing. However, after talking ideas, Lily encouraged her to put pen to paper—or rather, fingers to keyboard. Since, with a few virtual kicks in the right place, she hasn’t stopped. Her confidence eventually led to her writing an original work for submission. Her first published work was Boys, Toys, and Carpet Fitters, developed for the Dreamspinner Press Anthology – Don’t Try This At Home. Now she absolutely adores immersing herself into the characters she creates, and transferring the pictures in her brain to paper, finding it liberating, therapeutic, and wonderful. Outside of writing, her interests include; martial arts (she’s a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-do), horse-riding, all of which facilitates her love of a wide variety of movies. Her action heroes include Jet Li and Tony Jaa—finding the dedication these men have for their art combined with their skill both amazing and a privilege to watch. If pressed, she’ll admit to thinking that the screen entrance of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of the Black Pearl, and Shadowfax in LOTR, to be the greatest screen entrances ever. Her all-time favorite movies are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. The simple things in life that make her day, putting a smile on her face are: Laughter – especially that of her children. The smell of lasagna cooking – it makes her mouth salivate. The dawn chorus – no symphony ever written can beat the waking greetings of the birds. Two very different men with a tumultuous history must overcome challenges from all sides and see past their society's rules to realize they are destined for one another.
Raised to become alpha of the Yafenack pack, Samuel Goodwin dedicates his life to studying shifter laws, strengthening his body, and learning from his father. But despite his best efforts, Samuel can't relate to people, including those he's supposed to lead.
When Samuel meets Korban Keller, the son of a neighboring pack's alpha, he reacts with emotion instead of intellect for the first time in his life. Resenting the other shifter for throwing him off-balance, Samuel first tries to intimidate Korban and then desperately avoids him. What he can't do is forget Korban's warm eyes, easy smile, and happy personality.
When a battle between their fathers ends tragically, Samuel struggles to lead his pack while Korban works to break through Samuel's emotional barriers.

I think this is one of my favorite books that Cardeno C has written, I love the character of Samuel, as it is like you are learning with him as he slowly comes to terms with the feelings he has inside. I really did feel for him, as he was so confused by the emotions that raged inside every time he was close to Korban, but he just could not understand what it all meant.
When their fathers’ battle ends badly, Samuel is then the Alpha of the Yafenack pack, but he has one very big secret from the pack, which could jeopardise him staying as Alpha. Rather than admit he has a problem, he shifts into his wolf form and disappears in the woods, but a voice inside his head calls him back to the arena where the battle took place…. Where he finds that things were not as first thought. Little does Samuel know that the voice he keeps hearing is that of his true mate…. And that his true mate is Korban Keller, who he has been trying to avoid. Will Samuel ever finally realise that Korban is his true mate? Can Samuel and Korban get past everything thrown at them to be together? I love the narrator Charlie David, he completely drew me into the story, and I can honestly listen to his voice all day long! More please Charlie David!!

Cardeno C. - CC to friends - is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few "awwws" into a reader's day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno's stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever- after sunset.
Cardeno's Home, Family, and Mates series have received awards from Love Romances and More Golden Roses, Rainbow Awards, the Goodreads M/M Romance Group, and various reviewers. But even more special to CC are heartfelt reactions from readers, like, "You bring joy and love and make it part of the every day."

Safety In Numbers-Book 5-Sizzling Miami Series by Jessie G!!!
This book is NOT a standalone, these MC’s have been regular and, at times, significant characters in past books since For a Reason. Chris and Liam made a promise but they both had no idea of the impact that this promise would create. After 9 years together which is a bond that could never be broken or they thought! Billy and Owen have also made that promise but they were well aware of the impact it will make. They have endured so much together and nothing will ever come between them or will it? This is not an easy review without giving away spoilers so I will do my best as I detest spoilers in reviews. This series was such an amazing read and this part 5 will just blow your mind away as it did to me. I loved that the author answered some burning questions for us in regards to the boys and OMG that was some intense and amazing reading. The author likes to tease you as you go through her brilliant series to beware lol. Expect the Unexpected!!! I loved how the author brought us these guys, Chris and Liam, and Billy and Owen in the previous books. She slowly told their story in the background and now she brings their story to the front lines in this installment. That was some really creative and very detailed writing as I am sure it was not the easiest. Some people might think this story is an ménage but it not at all, its a story of very emotionally connected couples that are trying to survive in a difficult world. I really enjoyed the format to this series and story as I thought it was new and refreshing, I credit the author for keeping it well organized and easy to follow. Jessie G is a brilliant and gifted author and I highly recommend, Sizzling Miami Series and this installment...Safety In Numbers!!!

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Jessie G author of Safety in Numbers. Hi Jessie, thank you for agreeing to this interview.
1) What book do you wish you could have written? Like an actual book or an idea? I suppose something grand epic like Lord of the Rings, with a whole alternate universe. I’m not good with the paranormal, though I love to read it. 2) How important are names to you (in your books)? Do you choose names based on liking the way it sounds or meaning? How do you choose your names? Names are huge! I can’t start a book until I know who my characters are and lately I’ve been reaching out to my readers on social media. I’ll post a picture of my inspirational characters, or tell some characteristics about them, and ask for name ideas. Like a characters from Tricking Chase, Snake. He needed a real name and I needed it to be kind of cringe worthy. My readers came up with some doozies and that’s how he became Eugene. Can you imagine a big, bad, bear of a biker cover in tattoos named Eugene? I laugh just thinking about him. 3) Were you already a great writer? Have you always enjoyed writing? How long have you been writing? I’ve been writing since I’m ten, or at least that’s the first real memory I hate and always dreamed of making it a career. I would say until I wrote Past Hurts and fell in love with it, I was an okay writer, maybe even a sucky writer, because I hated pretty much everything before it. As I progress, I believe I get better with each book, but I’d never call myself a great writer. 4) Which character, from any of your books, do you consider your greatest work? Ty, hands down. Every time he appears on the page, he makes me happy. I consider him a total package: alpha, dominant, sarcastic, deadly, gorgeous, loving, scary…I want him to appear in every book I write. 5) What hobbies do you enjoy? Reading would be at the very top of the list followed by cooking, traveling, and my hubs motorcycle. I like to think I have some hidden arts & crafts gene, but when I try, I’m reminded that I suck at it.
That silence hid a lot from their friends, but Liam knew Chris was plagued with memories far worse than his. That’s why they decided not to celebrate alone this year. Billy and Owen were expected any minute and it was the first time they invited anyone to join them. The anniversary was bittersweet for them and they chose to celebrate it because becoming brothers meant that much to them. “Do you think they’ll find it stupid?”
Chris just shrugged as if it was no skin off his back what they thought and Liam knew that was just bravado. Fact was, they both very much cared what the two men thought. “Liar.” His brother sighed and dropped his head back. As if shit wasn’t fucked up enough, they fell for two bastards just as fucked up as they were. “I know you’re worried about Owen. The business with Colin is growing out of their control and I’m not sure why he thinks it’s a good thing. Is he trying to prove something? And the middle of the night phone calls from the FTR? He’s looking more and more fragile every day.” Liam knew he wasn’t stating anything new. What he didn’t know was what Chris intended to do about it. Lately, when it came to Owen, Chris conveyed zero intent and seemed to be waiting for Owen to read him as effortlessly as Liam did. Their brother bond had been forged through blood and he was afraid Chris’s expectations of Owen were unreasonable. “Do you see his face every time he thinks he’s failed to understand you? The weight of it is crushing.” Instead of regret, all Liam saw was anger in Chris. It wasn’t a common emotion for Chris and Liam could name every time he saw it. The fact that Chris knew what he was capable of if provoked had made him extremely conscious of that emotion and he often went to great lengths to contain it. Owen was the very definition of insecure. Just the type to inspire Chris’s protective instincts, which Liam knew for a fact Owen did. Hell, he inspired Liam’s protective instincts. Owen was stubborn though and he often distanced himself, keeping things bottled up until they manifested elsewhere. Like in panic attacks that felt like heart attacks, which he also tried to hide. Liam nearly lost it when they found out that Billy was keeping Owen’s secret. Chris nodded slowly, as if he completely followed Liam’s train of thought and waited for him to connect the dots. And just like that, Liam understood. “You’re pissed because he doesn’t come to you when the panic sets in. That he hides it from you and they hide it from us.” It made total sense, but he had to wonder if they were expecting too much. After all, they couldn’t call what was going on with either man a relationship. No, they were four fucked up bastards trying to come together in some romantic—what? Not a foursome, eww…he loved Chris, but yeah, that just wasn’t happening. And Owen wasn’t his type any more than Billy was Chris’s type. But—always with the fucking buts, right?—what was happening was very definitely happening to the four of them, and Liam now had to wonder if that was the problem, because trying to come together was definitely not the same as being together. Chris shook his head and shifted in his seat. No, he was right. It wasn’t just their brother bond that made it impossible to move forward as two separate couples. Billy and Owen had formed their own unique friendship in prison and were no more likely to move forward without the other one either. “Just once, couldn’t we have done something the easy way?” The fire door banged open and Liam turned to see Billy and Owen, arms full of brightly wrapped packages, struggling to pull a huge cluster of balloons through the door. It was a shocking contrast to their dark thoughts and so uncharacteristically sweet of both men. Billy caught their surprised stare and yelled, “Is this where the party’s at?” “It is now.” It might seem silly, but it was exactly what they needed and exactly who they needed it from. Maybe they hadn’t been expecting too much at all. Liam rose to give them a hand and glanced down to see the look of longing in Chris’s eyes and thought maybe it was time they all expected more.
Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: to be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With six published books to date, three series in the works and a full schedule of releases planned for the next two years, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.
I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.

The Case No One Foretold by L.G. Fabbo-Gonnella 4.5 Star Review, Excerpt, Guest Post and Giveaway11/22/2015 Title: The Case No One Foretold SynopsisTwo men engage in an altercation in a movie lobby. Later one of the men turns up dead in a New York City alley. But this is no ordinary murder. The deceased is a sex demon and his fellow combatant was the werewolf, Jean-Claude Roué, fiancé of Mark’s shape-shifter secretary. Now the werewolf is accused of his murder and faces a trial by before a supernatural tribunal. If Jean-Claude is convicted for causing this death it will mean his execution. This time however, Mark Julian is away on a personal investigation in Kenya so Tortego, the crafty vampire chief, goes to an unusual source to secure help. Using his powers as head of New York City’s supernatural community he appoints Mark’s human partner, Detective Vincent Pasquale, to be one of the three judges for Jean-Claude’s trial. Now Vinnie must not only fight to clear his friend, Jean-Claude, he must deal with his supernatural co-jurists: the werewolf Viola Lupa and the sex demon Dale Carter. Both of his companion judges are on record as sworn enemies of “any mixed supernatural mating.” Throw in a shifty shape shifter named Andelan Clarke, Ja-ne the original Oracle of Delphi and, a sexy TV newsman from the island of Guernsey who appears to be more interested in bedding Vinnie than nailing a story and it truly becomes “The Case No One Foretold!”
Well, where do I start?! Funnily enough, when I was at UK Meet in September this year, I met Alina (Eyes on Books), and mentioned to her that I love a crime/mystery book and that this seemed to be missing from the m/m genre - well I had not found any should I say before people start shouting at me there are loads around!
I was lucky enough to be sent the first book in the series, which I read so I know how Mark and Vinnie got together, and I loved that book. I have to say these is very different to what I would normally read, but the author keeps you hooked with the goings on in the books, and I can honestly say I love this series. In this book, it was Vinnie who took to the main stage, and an awesome job he did too, I really loved how he took things over in the court, and how he handled his fellow judge Dale. Mark was away at the time, but I think to begin with he was wondering what was happening, but then seemed to forget about it all - but I am sure there was something else going on then, especially with the ending in this book. If you love reading about shape-shifters, vampires, werewolves and any other shifter you can think of, and you love a good mystery then this series is for you. I will be looking out for the future books in this series, just to see if Mark and Vinnie are able to solve the big mystery that is hanging over them, and if they both survive this investigation with their love and lives intact. Please also see below for the brilliant Guest Post that I was sent to add to the review, it explains the series a lot better than I can :)
The Traps of History in Mysteries
Before I begin let me give a tremendous thank you to Gay Media Reviews for asking me to do a guest post. Blogs like this let a writer connect with his readers and potential new ones. I hope, after reading this post, they don’t regret hosting meJ. I also think introductions are in order before I tackle this subject. My name is L.G. Fabbo-Gonnella. I write the Mark Julian Vampire PI mystery series. So yep, that is a plug just in case anyone reading that line was unsure about it. My mysteries take place in contemporary New York City. Well, to be fair, they take place in the supernatural world that exists in tandem with this contemporary city. But, from my books title, my hero is a private eye who happens to be a vampire. By the way, would now be a good time to mention he has a shape-shifting sex demon secretary who prefers to dress in the style of the 1940s? She rocks, but I’m prejudiced about her. But she is another possible post topic. The point of this post is the traps that await me when I sit down to write one of the Julian books. Since my hero is a vampire who died at the dawn of the early Roman Empire it stands to reason he has been alive for quite some time. That fact is a two edged sword when I write the books. On one hand I can weave his recollections of his past lives into each book thus, I hope, making it a richer reading experience. BUT, and it’s a big one, when I’m writing a “past life” section I know I need to be sure about every fact during that time frame. I’m not just talking about getting the correct dates though, that helps a lot. I mean getting right the critical details of that period. If I write about a costume, a ceremony, a physical description of a building/room even the spelling of an ancient word I need to be pretty darn sure about it. Why? Well first, I feel it’s my responsibility not to be slipshod with my books and thus my readers. The second is fear based: if I mess up someone, e.g. reader, will let me know and fast. I do not want to lose that trust from any of the people who read my books. So I research an era of the past then research it again from another angle. Most times this process is not a problem. Sometimes, however, it can be difficult especially when historical sources do not agree on what was going on or how things were done etc. In those cases I take my best shot. I go with one side or the other’s interpretations and cross my fingers. Worse is when there is only a vague historical record of that time frame. When that happens I stick to the current historical thoughts about the period. In the end it’s really all about making the book fun and informative too. I picked my hero, or rather he picked me, so we both make the best of it. I may not write like Tolstoy but I think I write a rattling good yarn. But do not take my word for it. Go buy one of the books in the series and check me, and Mark Julian out. Now about that secretary ....*wink*
The four grey robed figures sat around the wooden circular desk in the darkened stone-carved room. In the center of the table only a flickering flame, held in a bronze bowl, gave off any light. The rough cold walls were bare, giving the place a rather sinister atmosphere. Three of them were men and one a woman.
“I fail to see how hiring another killer will solve the issue,” the woman sharply stated in annoyance while staring over at the man seated across from her. “I mean the last set of vampire murders hardly solved the problem did it? In fact, that spectacular failure may have potentially cast a rather unwelcome light upon our activities.” “I have to agree that your hiring another assassin to remove the persons on your new hit list was hardly inventive,” the tall man next to her added as he stared at the same person to whom the woman had just spoken too. “Besides, was killing all those other vampires truly required?” He grumbled. From the tone of his voice it was clear that he too shared the woman’s irritation with the person opposite them. The slightly built male individual to whom they had addressed their criticisms said nothing for a few seconds. From his facial expression however, it was obvious to them all that he was inwardly seething over their comments. After a minute however, his face lost all outward hint of his internal anger. “I think disposing of those vampires who sat on that commission was unavoidable.” He calmly replied. “They knew too much about our plans, or else they had too many suspicions based upon what they inadvertently discovered in the records.” He gave them a chilling look; grinned at the discomfort it gave to the others in the room then continued speaking. Not even his mother's funeral can convince self-proclaimed party boy Zach Johnson to tone down his snark or think about settling down. He is who he is, and he refuses to change for anyone. When straight-laced, compassionate Aaron Paulson claims he's falling for him, Zach is certain Aaron sees him as another project, one more lost soul for the idealistic Aaron to save. But Zach doesn't need to be fixed, and he refuses to be with someone who sees him as broken.
Patience is one of Aaron's many virtues. He has waited years for a man who can share his heart and complete his life, and he insists Zach is the one. Pride, fear, and old hurts wither in the wake of Aaron's adoring loyalty, and as Zach reevaluates his perceptions of love and family, he finds himself tempted to believe in the impossible: a happily ever after.

I have to say this is the first audio of CC's where I have not even read the book! I found this book to be so different from the others that I have read, but I totally loved it.
I also loved the narrators voice, as he talks there is something about his voice that pulls you completely into the story. I honestly look forward to listening to more books with this narrator. I also really loved this being done in the first person as to me it was like Zach was telling the story, and every so often he seemed to be talking directly to me!! At the beginning, I hated Zach with the way he was treating any guy he met, and especially how he was with Aaron, but the more I listened, the more I realised that Zach knew no other way. He was experiencing feelings that he had never felt before, and this totally frightened him, and sometimes he would react with harsh sounding words. For some reason, Aaron would not give up on Zach, and strangely enough Zach felt safer with Aaron, than he had even when he was a child., and before he knew it, Zach was telling Aaron everything about his childhood, and what his life has been like. Pretty soon the two become inseperable, and Zach makes the move to be with Aaron. I think I really enjoyed the book, as to me it showed how Zach changed from being the total slut, to being in a committed relationship with Aaron. It was all so new to him, and sometimes he freaked, but as they grew closer both Aaron and Zach knew when something was bothering the other one. This is one audio that I can guarantee that I will listen to again and again. It was a totally brilliant story of in effect how Zach grew up once he met the man of his dreams, who he was convinced did not exist. I have already listened to this audio twice already :)

Title: The Cowboy In Unit E

The good news is the most gorgeous cowboy I've ever seen is moving in next door to me. The bad news? He's not alone. Hanging on his arm is a very pregnant woman. Are they a couple? It sure looks like they are. So not only is he not gay, but he also has a girlfriend, or a wife, or whatever. Just my luck.
****
21-year old Trace Cotton is an artist who never shows his paintings to anyone. When cowboy Luke Wagner moves into Mockingbird Place with a very pregnant Ava, Trace believes he must fight his attraction to Luke since he’s taken.
When Ava collapses outside Trace’s apartment, he comes to her rescue. Things aren’t what they seem on the surface, but when Trace finds out the truth will it be too late for a chance at something real with Luke?
Warning: contains hot showers with singing, two sexy men kissing, and sexual situations taking place in a 10-unit Mediterranean complex filled with college-aged hotties.
The Cowboy In Unit E-Book 2 in The Mockingbird Place by Kris Cook!!!
21-year-old Trace is a very talented artist but he never lets anyone see his artwork. A hot cowboy named Luke moves into Mockingbird Place but Trace is not thrilled as he's not alone but with a pregnant girl. Now Trace feels he must let go of any attraction to the cowboy as he's obviously taken. Luke's friend Ava collapses and Trace comes to her rescue and soon finds out that things are not what he originally thought. Now that he knows the truth, Trace wonders if it's too late for something special with the cowboy? Trace can't believe his luck as Luke is what he's always wanted as this cowboy is the first person to bring light into his dark life but he's afraid what Ava is to Luke. Luke is such a great guy the way he is ready to give up so much to make sure Ava has her baby without any drama. The real story was Trace dealing with his hurtful past and Luke trying to help Trace and show him the real meaning of love. This novel has some dark moments but the author doesn't dwell on them or go into much detail as he just lets us know what these characters have dealt with in the past with flashbacks. I loved that Kris Cook brought back some secondary characters, some of the men from book one-The Marine in Unit A plus some new characters so that was some great reading. I give a lot of credit to Kris Cook for developing such complicated and damaged but loving characters such as Trace and Luke. The author quickly resolved the drama issues that arose with these men especially Trace. This was a beautifully written novel and I recommend it to everyone!!! “Yes, I recommend the series. Smokin' hot and smart men who are not afraid to expose their feelings or get in touch with their emotional side. Well done, again, Mr. Cook! I look forward to the next book - impatiently!“ ~4 Star Review from Happily Ever Chapter
I stand by my front window, where the light is best this time of day, gazing at the white void, praying for inspiration. The blank canvas taunts me. Where to begin? It’s always like this when I start a new painting. It has to mean something. I need feeling and life. Right now, all I have is emptiness.
My roommate and best friend, Jackson, always teases me about my process—or in his words my “idiosyncrasies.” My last painting took me over a month to complete, but the first ten days was like this one, staring at the canvas before I pressed a brush filled with paint to its surface.
Out of the corner of my eye, through the window, I see one of my new neighbors walking up the sidewalk. Ava Stone is pregnant and is carrying a big box. In her current condition I wonder if she should be lifting heavy things.
She and her good-looking cowboy, Luke Wagner, are moving into the apartment next to Jackson’s and mine—Unit E. That leaves Oliver’s old apartment, Unit F, as the only vacancy at Mockingbird Place. I met the couple at the complex’s yard sale when they were taking a look at the apartment. They were living in a motel so that Ava could start her classes at the university on time until they could find a place to rent. Ava and Luke’s new home had been empty for quite some time. Until now. I’m glad it’s finally going to be occupied and hope the new couple will be good neighbors. And most of all I have to stop thinking about one of them.
I’ve never been attracted to cowboys before, but there is something about Luke that I can’t quite seem to shake. But I need to. He’s obviously taken and straight.
When Ava smiles at me as she turns to go into her apartment, I wave.
Glancing back at my canvas, I feel so frustrated. I’m no closer to an idea than before. Why do I do this to myself? No one will ever see this work when it’s completed. This painting is for my eyes only now that Malcolm is gone. He was the only one I was ever comfortable sharing my work with. He got it. He knew what I was trying to say with each piece.
Like everyone else at Mockingbird Place, I thought he would live forever, even though he was eighty-two when he died. In June, we had his memorial in the courtyard and planted a tree in his honor near the pool.
I see Ava heading back to the parking lot and wonder how many more boxes she and her boyfriend have to unload. I decide to finish my coffee before I put my brushes away and help them.
I step back from the blank canvas. Should I paint another portrait of Malcolm? No. I just can’t bring myself to paint him again. It hurts too much. I need more time. Right now, I could use an idea for this canvas, but I’m at a total loss. Damn it.
My art continues to be therapeutic for me. When I was twelve years old my counselor suggested art therapy and I found my passion. I can place myself inside my paintings, feeling the breeze on my skin or hearing the crashing of the waves on the shore. I’m there and I don’t feel the pain. Still, my paintings allow me to gaze into the darkness of my past. They also help me release the tension and anxiety.
Actually, I wish all of my paintings could remain private. Each is so personal and carries its own meaning. Whenever anyone looks at my paintings I feel exposed and vulnerable. Dirty. I wonder if people can see my younger self weeping from the despair in my brush strokes. I definitely can, no matter the composition I’ve created, whether beach or mountain scene, whether wild animal or newborn baby, whether impressionistic or realistic. Each painting carries drops of the pain from my past.
Two of my pieces were on display for my professors to judge. I wonder if it was worth the As I got on both, because it nearly wrecked me until I was able to take them back to my storage unit. That’s where I keep my completed paintings.
This semester is so much better than last. I have a fantastic schedule and only have to be on campus two days a week. The rest of the week is mine. All mine. And the classes that I am taking don’t require students to create and present a work of art, unlike last semester.
As I put my empty cup down, I see Ava collapse and the box she was carrying crash to the ground.
A blast of electricity shoots through my body, and I toss my brushes aside and rush out my door.
“Ava. Ava.” I lift her head off the ground and start shouting for her boyfriend. “Luke. Get out here. Ava has passed out.” Where the hell is he?
Her eyes open. “What happened?”
“You passed out and fell,” I tell her.
“Oh no.” Ava rubs her hands over her belly. “Thank God, I just felt a kick. I think the baby is fine.”
Kick or not, I know she needs to see a doctor. “Where’s Luke?”
Before she can answer, I see him running up the sidewalk.
He kneels down next to me and shoves a sack in my chest. “My God, Ava, what happened?” he asks in his thick West Texas accent. “Are you okay?”
“From outside the building, flames could be seen and yells could be heard. In the distance, the sound of fire truck sirens gradually grew louder. As the club windows shattered, fire and smoke emerged, working their way up into the sky. The wind pushed the smoke across nearby blocks quickly and it soon passed over the area where Derek’s bloody body rested on the ground. The moon hung high over the city of Chicago, casting its warm glow on everything beneath it.”
-BOYSTOWN Season Three The horrific night club fire leaves lives and relationships forever scarred. As the flames die down and the smoke clears, survivors struggle to rebuild. At the same time, the race to save Derek Mancini and to bring his shooter to justice begins -- while the search to identify the new Mancini brother continues. More catastrophic than the fire, a special birthday celebration propels lives in dangerous directions. While some work to end the Mancini-Ciancio feud permanently, others use it as motivation to put a life-threatening plan in place. Meanwhile, two couples prepare for their weddings, one couple struggles to survive its secrets, and a new couple forms an alliance that will ultimately destroy several people around them. Plus, the arrival of a new doctor and his son to Boystown impacts the lives of everyone they meet. It all builds up to a wedding weekend that will leave the lives of Boystown residents in peril. There’s no place like BOYSTOWN!
Well, this is one review that I am finding hard to write, as I don't want to give anything away. Boystown Season 4 also ends on a cliffhanger, but I have to admit there are only two things I want to know from Season 5, and that is what happens to Logan and do Rachel and another I won't name ever get their just deserts - which in my opinion are way overdue.
I did enjoy reading this season of Boystown, but I have to say that the second half of the book I found I enjoyed much more than the first half. We also find out that some of the newer characters in the story are not as they first seemed, they are there for a reason - so the others had better watch out, more trouble is on the horizon, as Cole in particular has found out. There are also quite a few surprises in this Season - who the fourth brother is (not saying who), a long kept secret is also revealed inadvertently to the one person it would hurt, and the biggest one to me, was who the father of Joyelle's baby is, and that was the biggest surprise to me. I am hoping that in Season 5, that some things are cleared up, and we find out who instigated things, although I believe I know the culprit in a lot of them. I am also really really hoping that Rachel finally has something happen to her, she is like a cat with nine lives, and she must have used them all up now.
BOYSTOWN Season Four Excerpt (from Episode 36)
Outside, Hugo and Jensen slowly walked south along the lakefront bike path toward Belmont Harbor. A cool breath brought a slight chill to the air, but the night was clear and the lights of the city skyline sparkled in the wavy waters of Lake Michigan. “So when did you come out?” Jensen asked Hugo as they continued their walk. “I didn’t,” Hugo replied. “What do you mean?” “I mean I’m not out. I’m not even sure I’m gay.” Hugo paused for a moment, then continued. “What I mean is that I’m not sure if I’m gay or bi.” “Got it.” Hugo put his arm around Jensen. “I didn’t mean to scare you there. Don’t worry; I think you’re very cute.” “Thank you,” Jensen said, smiling. “Have you talked with your parents about your sexuality?” “Well, I don’t really know or talk to my mom. I guess you could say I was an accident. My dad has got full custody of me.” “I can relate to that. I haven’t spoken to my parents in ages. They threw me out when they found out when I was gay.” “I’m sorry,” Hugo said. “It sucked, but I learned a lot living on my own. I learned how to navigate the streets and it made me grow up faster. And then Emmett and Max took me in a while back.” “That’s cool.” “I’m very lucky and I’m very grateful to them, especially Emmett. He’s the best.” “He seems cool.” “So does your dad know about you at all?” Hugo laughed. “No way.” “Uh oh...” “You have to understand something. My dad is always on my ass. Pushing me to do this and pushing me to do that. Always insisting I’m the best. The best student, the best athlete, the best kid. Nothing is ever good enough.” “Not even being the Notre Dame quarterback?” “Not even that. There’s always something else he wants me to do or to achieve. Being gay isn’t part of his vision for me.” “But Michael’s gay, his own brother.” “My dad and my uncle have a unique history. On again, off again.” “So he’s not cool with Michael being gay?” “I don’t think he cares, but that’s his brother, not his son. I don’t think it would be allowed for me.” “But surely he wants you to be happy.” “He wants me to be happy being the son he wants me to be. My opinion doesn’t hold a whole lot of weight.” “That stinks.” They stopped walking when they reached the Lake Shore Drive underpass to take in the view of the skyline. “The boats will soon be back in the harbor. A sure sign that summer is on the way. The city looks amazing from here,” Jensen said. Hugo faced Jensen and put his hands on his shoulders. “So do you.” He leaned forward and kissed Jensen softly. Then he hugged Jensen tightly. “Come on; it’s getting late. I’ll walk you home.”
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Jake Biondi fell in love with "The Windy City" at an early age. He left the Chicago area for four years to attend the University of Notre Dame, from which he graduated with degrees in English and Business. He was awarded the university’s prestigious William Mitchell Award for Playwriting. Upon graduating from Notre Dame, Biondi returned to Chicago where he attended and graduated from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He has been living in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood for over 20 years.
While studying literature, Biondi became a huge fan of Charles Dickens whose novels were originally released in installments, each ending in a cliffhanger to keep readers coming back for more. Because of his love of those novels as well as television dramas such as Dynasty, Knots Landing, Dallas, and Revenge, Jake Biondi decided to create a serialized saga for contemporary audiences. Thus, the BOYSTOWN series was born. Biondi began BOYSTOWN in June of 2013 as an online story and intended to release one "episode" online per month, each ending in a cliffhanger. The story became so popular -- and the online reading audience grew so quickly -- that people from all over the country began to email him demanding to know what happened to their favorite characters and wanting the episodes to be released faster. They also had suggestions for future storylines. Excited by and grateful for his readers’ responses to BOYSTOWN, Biondi began to write and release installments more quickly. In November of 2013, Biondi moved BOYSTOWN offline and published the first ten installments in book form asBOYSTOWN Season One. The book became an international hit, with fans all over the globe clamoring for more. BOYSTOWN Season Two was published in July of 2014 and BOYSTOWN Season Three will be released on May 1, 2015. Because of the popularity of the book series, fans have suggested that BOYSTOWN be turned into a television series. Biondi recently completed the TV scripts for the first season of BOYSTOWN and hopes to bring the series to television in the very near future.
Controlled Asher didn't expect to fall for free-spirited Daniel, but they'll find what they desperately need in one another.
Police captain Asher Penaz’s staunch professionalism bleeds into his home life, down to his neatly pressed attire and spartan apartment. He enjoys being in charge and in control, so his sudden and powerful attraction to the lighthearted, free-spirited Daniel Tover throws him for a loop. In his entire life, Daniel has never gotten what he needs, so he moves to the next place, the next job, the next attempt to find something worth staying for, always landing at the top of his game, but never feeling like he belongs. The chemistry between Asher and Daniel sizzles, but with all that fire comes the risk of getting burned. As both men struggle to learn themselves while getting to know each other, the lines of desire and control blur. If Daniel and Asher can walk through the flames together, they might find what they desperately need.
Well, this is a big case of as different as chalk and cheese! No way should this relationship work, but strangely they are both the right man for the other.
I love Daniels character, and to be honest I wasn't sure of Asher to begin with, as he came across as someone who was so used to getting his own way all the time, but so not the case when he was with Daniel. Asher is actually a dom, but when he was with Daniel he seemed to change, although he did like ordering Daniel about. Daniel originally came across as someone who was a total klutz, and needed looking after - and Asher saved him many a time. Asher invites Daniel to come and live with him, and to begin with things go well for the couple, unfortunately Asher has a jealous streak a mile wide, and even though Daniel has done nothing, Asher seems to manage to find ways to make Daniel feel bad. They manage to get through almost everything, until Asher does the total unforgivable to Daniel - by more or less giving him away. As soon as Asher does this, Daniel does the only thing he thinks he can do and that is to run and disappear..... Does Asher realise he has done wrong? Can Asher actually manage to find where Daniel has gone? Is there any chance of Daniel and Asher managing to get back together, and most importantly will Daniel ever forgive Asher for what he has done?
Asher actually thought that would suck. He knew firsthand from what he saw at work every day that the future often held devastating news for people. And as far as reading minds, the world was full of jackasses. No reason to want to get into those heads. Besides, if Daniel could read minds, he’d know Asher wanted nothing more than to get Daniel naked and…
“So am I bent over something or on my knees?” Daniel asked, his eyes sparkling and a happy smile taking over that cute-as-hell face. “What?” Asher asked, dumbfounded. “In that fantasy sequence you’ve got playing in your head right now, am I bent over some piece of furniture or am I on my knees?” Asher swallowed hard and shook his head. “Neither, actually.” “Oh.” Daniel’s cheeks reddened and he gestured his chin toward Asher’s packed crotch and the obvious erection trailing down his left thigh. “I just thought since you were turned on that maybe…” “You were on your back. I was lying on top of you. And we were, um, kissing.” Big brown eyes met his.

When the casual hookup turns into the potential for love, Spencer realizes that if he wants to build a life with Emilio, he’ll need to be strong enough to slay his personal demons and learn to trust again.
Emilio has one goal on his mind and nothing will get in his way of getting the hot professor Spencer in his bed. He finds the new task not as difficult as he might have thought but gaining the trust of a man so deeply hurt in the past is not as easy so he has to be patient which really isn't Emilio strong personality trait. Will Emilio be able to complete this challenge of winning over Spencer's heart and trust?
Spencer is really taken aback when the hot construction worker – Emilio approaches him as he has always been attracted to the guy. For the first time in his 38 years he decides to throw caution to the wind and take the 22-year-old Emilio back to his place. Spencer realizes that this hook-up might be more then casual sex but an actual love connection. He must now face his past and rid himself of the baggage in order to be open for a relationship with this new man in his life. Cardeno C never disappoints with her novels and this one is no exception and she really knows how to pull at your heartstrings. The way she makes me fall for her characters like Emilio and Spencer. I like how Emilio, even though he is young he knows Spencer is exactly who he's always wanted and won't take no for an answer. Spencer is not like Emilio at all as he's not as confident but when Emilio is around you can see his self confidence growing. I loved that these two very different guys from different worlds jumped right into each other's arms, right from the start. I truly enjoyed Spencer's best friend Maria and the wisdom that she spewed. This was a lovely and beautiful love story between two very different men and the way the author created their love was some brilliant writing. The writing style of Cardeno C is some great writing and her characters were developed with such true honesty as I couldn't get enough of them and their love story. I recommend Strong Enough -Book 2 in the Family series by Cardeno C!!!
Either the ground was shaking or he was. This couldn’t be real. Things like this didn’t happen to Spencer Derdinger: Great-looking men acting like he was some sort of catch. Hard-ons that wouldn’t quit. Free remodeling advice.
“A chance at what?” he asked, needing to understand what he was being asked, needing to know what was going on. “A chance at you, baby.” “I don’t know what that means. How old are you? I’m thirty-eight; that has to be older than you. Why do you keep calling me baby?” Emilio stepped back and dragged his gaze from Spencer’s head to his feet and back again. Then he dipped down and whispered into Spencer’s ear. “I’m twenty-two. From the first day I saw you outside of your building, I’ve wanted you. Being older don’t matter. If anything, it’s a good thing. I think you’re hot as hell. All I need is a chance to show you how it can be between us.” “I have no idea what that means,” Spencer whispered. “It means that you’re my baby and I aim to prove it to you. If that word bothers you, I’ll use another one,” Emilio said. “But it won’t change nothing.” He leaned back and looked directly at Spencer as he let go of his hand and cupped Spencer’s bulge, squeezing and caressing him from balls to dick. “That clear enough?”

Time might not heal all wounds, but with two motivated and strong-willed men on a campaign to win him back, Charlie will get more than he ever thought possible.
Oh wow, I just love this story, and even more so as it ends up with there being three of them, and in my book that ends up meaning hot reading!
My oh my, did I ever feel for Charlie. He fell in love with Scott, even though he was so young, he thought he had found the man to spend his live with.... and Scott moves away, and then over a period of time, all contact stops. Charlie is heartbroken, and for quite a while never really let anybody close to him..... until Adan. Here is the character I actually hated for what he did to Charlie. Charlie is Charlie which means he is confident and happy, and dresses how he wants, never letting any comments get him down. For some strange reason, Charlie took a liking to Adan, even though Adan was very straight laced couldn't understand Charlie dressing like he did.. Charlie, perhaps naively believed that Adan felt the same as he did, but was quite brutually shown by Adan that this was not the case... or at least Adan didn't think this was the case until too late, until Charlie moved away cutting all contact. Fast forward a few years, and then more devastating news for Charlie with the death of his sister, and he becomes a parent overnight. He completely changes his life for his niece and nephew, and when he moves into his sisters house, he finds that she kept in contact with Scott, and that Scott is now with Adan. Now the fun really starts, as both Scott and Adan are both still in love with Charlie, but Charlie is still remembering how Scott left him and Adan showing his true colours. Scott and Adan must work together if they are ever to get Charlie back into their lives, but can they ever persuade Charlie that he should give their relationship a chance, given how both of them seem to have caused Charlie so much misery.
This one isn’t a picture, but it’s still going in the album. I’m not usually one to fixate on dates or times. I’ve been late to enough parties and meetings and missed enough flights to prove that fact. But there are a few things, a few dates, I’ll never forget. The very first one was Scott’s prom night. Well, technically, it was the next day, because midnight had passed.
When the year ended, I tore the page out of my calendar and I’ve kept it ever since, folded into a tiny square and stuffed into a pocket in my wallet. It traveled with me as I moved from apartment to apartment, from city to city; it kept me company in cars, subways, trains, airplanes, hell, even on a cruise ship. It’s all creased and worn, but I still have it—the piece of paper marking the date of my first kiss. Our first kiss. I’ve gotten more skilled at using my lips and tongue since then—we both have. But that first kiss… There’s never been anything else quite like it.
If short-tempered Jason can open his heart and life to optimistic Abe, he might finally find the family he craves.
Short-tempered, arrogant heart surgeon Jason Garcia grew up wanting a close-knit family, but believes he ruined those dreams when he broke up his marriage. The benefit of divorce is having as much random sex as he wants, and it's a benefit Jason is exploiting when he meets a sweet, shy man at a bar and convinces him to go home for a no-strings-attached night of fun. Eight years living in Las Vegas hasn't dimmed Abe Green's optimism, earnestness, or desire to find the one. When a sexy man with lonely eyes propositions him, Abe decides to give himself a birthday present—one night of spontaneous fun with no thoughts of the future. But one night turns into two and then three, and Abe realizes his heart is involved. For the first time, Abe feels safe enough with someone he respects and adores to let go of his inhibitions in the bedroom. If Jason can get past his own inhibitions and open his heart and his life to Abe, he might finally find the family he craves.
Heart surgeon Jason Garcia always wanted a close knit family but that seems far off now that he ended his marriage. The one thing that he's enjoying as a single person is a lot of random sex, then he meets a shy man at a bar and they go home for a night of casual sex. Abe Green hasn't given up on finding the man of his dreams and a sexy guy comes on to him and Abe decides to have a night of passion and takes a break from looking for Mr. Right. Now the one-night of casual sex has turned into many nights of passion with the sexy stranger but Abe realizes that he has now fallen for him.
I loved how Jason, the 36 year old hot surgeon meets Abe, the 26 year old teacher as they keep coming back for more. What was suppose to be a casual night of hot sex turns into much more. I loved how Jason is still friends with his ex-wife, Angela as it makes for a more realistic look on a modern family and I loved his ex-wife. I thought how Abe and Jason's relationship grows slowly was so well written as they hopped into bed fast but not into their hearts as fast. Angela really convinces Jason to accept Abe into the family and the best advice ever as it benefits everyone. I truly loved the dynamics of this family as it felt so realistic and organic. This is what today's family represents as it's no longer the stereotypical family. The author did such an amazing job creating these amazing and brilliant characters and their stories. The sex scenes were so hot yet beautiful and loved the connection that Abe and Jason shared and then to bring in Jason's family was just wonderful. The way the author developed the amazing character of Jason was great as he had to come to turns with a lot in his life and his heart was still open to having that family life. I highly recommend The Half Of US by Cardeno C to anyone who loves reading about the true meaning of love and family!

COVER ARTIST: Kellie Dennis
LENGTH: 52,000 words
RELEASE DATE: October 30, 2015
BLURB: Jinx Jett is a rock superstar. As such, the hunky Skull Blasters drummer thoroughly enjoys the many perks of willing groupies, earning him a reputation as the band slut. Making it big and scoring hot women is something Jinx never expected. There's a little voice in the back of his mind constantly reminding him of how he used to be -- shy, overweight and acne prone. One night in a gay bar turns life upside down when Jinx runs into Jayden Dempsey, a kid he's been fantasizing about since giving him his autograph at a mall. Long-held insecurities keep Jinx from fully committing to anyone, and he may lose Jayden if he can't put his past behind him.
Jayden Dempsey always wanted out of his life in small-town Alabama. When his parents kicked him out after he told them he was gay, Jayden decided the time was right to move on. He crosses the country to try out for 'Singers!', a show that propels unknowns to stardom. In a twist, producers choose him and three others as winners and form a boy band called London Boys. This season, the show brings Jayden and the guys back for the finale. Surprise! The contest's heavy metal finalist will be singing with Skull Blasters.
Jinx and Jayden's initial meeting doesn't go so well, and Jayden's stunned when the guy he's crushed on for years turns out to be a total jerk. It doesn't stop him from falling into Jinx's arms every time they're alone, but Jayden didn't sign on for one nighters. He wants Jinx Jett, baggage and all.
Can a former teen outcast put rejection behind him and embrace the acceptance standing right in front of him? How much will one boy bander put up with from his rock idol before enough is enough? Can they make it work? Or are they jinxed in love?
âI have been waiting for this story, as I wasnât sure if I was going to like Jinx or not â he seemed like someone who was used to having woman falling at his feet, and in his bed.... total slut. However, the more I read about him, the more I realised that this was just a front that he put on for people â and most people believed that was what he was like, only the other members of band knew differently.
After a doctor visit that turned him off women for a while, he decides to visit a gay bar, and is pointed into the direction of the bathrooms at the back which are complete with glory holes! Oh wow, Jinx gets himself a blow job, but also one that was out of this worldâ¦. And when he sees who the person was who seemed to be an expert, it was none other than Jayden, whom he had met a while ago while out with Gareth. They have one night together, which is one I donât Jinx will forget for a long time, his first experience of gay sex, and he seems to feel like he has realised what has been missing from his life â not a woman, but a man in it. However, the following morning Jayden is gone, no note or message, and Jinx doesnât like the feelings he is having, even though it is what he used to do! Jinx is not sure exactly what he is feeling, but Jayden has stirred something inside him, but something from his past holds him back from letting his true feelings show. Jayden was kicked out of his parentsâ home when he came out, and he has decided that he will not be hidden away, and tells this to Jinx. Jinx is also not sure if Jayden is just with him just because of who he is, but Jayden completely rocks his world when he tells him a few home truths, and then walks away from him again. Can Jinx get over his past and confront his demons to set himself free to love Jayden? Will he ever let Jayden see the man he is, rather than the front he puts on? Will Jayden ever forgive him for the way he has treated him? âThis book was one that I couldnât put down once I started reading, and I absolutely loved the storyline, and it actually changed how I thought of Jinx too, he is not a shallow person at all, in fact he is the complete opposite. I also look forward to seeing how Jayden and Jinx get on together in future books too, as well as Axel and Gareth too.
âCan I get some clothes?â
âI like you in a robe.â Jinx waggled his brows.
I started for the door and Jinx jumped up and grabbed my hand. He pushed me into the wall and gently pinned my hands above my head.
âJinx â¦â
I gasped as his thigh insinuated itself between my legs, rubbing my balls.
âYeah?â his breath caressed my lips.
âI ⦠fuck ⦠stop doing that,â I panted.
âThis?â Jinx raised his knee higher and rubbed my dick.
My God, my mouth actually started watering as Jinx leaned in closer to me, letting his tongue trail my bottom lip. I wanted to taste him so fucking bad my whole body hurt. I wanted him. I couldnât deny it.
âFuck, you are sexy as sin,â Jinx rumbled against my lips. âLove your lips, your eyes, even your fucking hair turns me on.â
I clenched my eyes shut and tried to stay in control.
âYeah? Even if Iâm a talentless pretty boy?â
Jinx stiffened. He pulled back slowly and searched my eyes.
âIâm sorry I said that.â
âYeah? Why did you say it? Whatâs your problem with me being in a boy band?â
Jinx sighed and let my hands go. He rubbed his hands down his face and exhaled slowly. I continued to speak because by that time, my word vomit had begun.
âI donât even like boy bands, but you know what? This is where I am and fuck it! Iâm successful. Do you know I auditioned with one of your bandâs songs?â Jinxâs gasp was very audible in the room. His eyes widened. âYep, thatâs right. I sang Manwhore; the song fits you.â
âI deserve that.â
âAre you going to tell me what your problem is?â I placed my hands on my hips, glaring at him.
