What would you do if you rode into a mountain tunnel in North Carolina and then rode out into a different world? Adam Stephens is about to find out

Adam Stephens is a man with a mission. It has been three years since they chopped that malignant brain tumor out of his head, and he is off on a solo motorcycle camping trip through the Appalachian Mountains.

When he rides into the Pine Mountain Tunnel in North Carolina and rides out into another realm, a realm that comes complete with a big sexy grizzly bear shifter, mages, and an evil sorcerer he isn't sure he isn't lying in the tunnel after crashing his bike. Can such a world exist? Or is he dreaming? If he is dreaming it sure is realistic.

Along the way, there will be some major hurdles to surpass including no indoor plumbing and no coffee. A man needs some basic luxuries, correct?

Excerpt

Fine, if it'll get you off my damned back, I'll take the cell phone. And you already know I'm taking my Kindle so I can read in those serene mountain campgrounds that I picked out along the way. Adam roared, as he stomped down the hallway to get the phone from his bedroom.

Oh, you mean those campgrounds in the bear infested forests, which you picked out without even seeing them? George yelled down the hallway sarcastically. He had made it clear to Adam repeatedly that camping in a tent in the mountains, alone, was the dumbest idea he had ever heard of. Oh, and don't forget, you're riding right by where they filmed Deliverance. Someone might just tell you that you have a pretty mouth.

I could get so lucky, Adam said quietly as he walked back into the kitchen. And as to the campgrounds, I've already got my sites picked out and pre-paid, so it will be an easy trip. Relax, I've already got my bike packed. I've double checked everything, and if there's anything I forgot, it isn't like there isn't a Walmart store every twenty miles along the way. I can stop and buy extra supplies. I'm not going to be riding through the wilderness.

For your part, Georgie don't forget to come over and feed my cat. Otherwise, poor Cooper will be dead before I get back. And this time don't forget the cat box! When I went away for those few days last year, you didn't scoop and it was practically liquefied when I got back. That was disgusting dude, disgusting.

Twenty minutes later George having been mollified Adam climbed on his motorcycle to begin his epic journey from South Florida to the Quebec line in New Hampshire. He had his tent, his sleeping bag, and enough food for a few days. Now if didn't rain, the trip would be fantastic.

Not quite three days into his trip, and Adam was riding through the mountains of North Carolina already, which was quite a feat on a motorcycle if he did say so himself, especially on these back roads. In a car, he might have done the trip in one day, but on his bike, it was far more strenuous on his body. Better to ride safely than quickly, and besides the views were fantastic. The Blue Ridge Parkway was proving to be as beautiful as he'd heard, and at least, so far, he hadn't seen any bears.

Camping the first night in Florida had almost been a washout, after riding through thunderstorms nearly the entire length of the state and having to set his tent up in the middle of a downpour. Then last night in that creepy deserted campground in Northern Georgia, with all its bear warning signs, was so cold. How it was possible to be in the thirties when it had been ninety when he left his house in Cape Coral was beyond his comprehension. He could only wonder what the coming night's campsite would bring. He hoped they would at least have hot showers at this one. His shower that morning in Georgia, with only ice-cold water and a thirty-eight-fucking-degree breeze blowing in through a louvered stall wall, had almost killed him. His balls had retracted so far that he didn't think they'd crawled back out of his body since. At least it had warmed up fast and was now somewhere pleasantly in the seventies with bright sunshine.

Sighting an exit sign ahead, Adam pulled off the Parkway and stopped at the combination rest area and information center. He needed to pee, and it would probably be smart to grab a physical Blue Ridge Parkway map. His map app on his smartphone kept trying to direct him off the Parkway to a much faster Interstate Highway option.

After using the rest room, Adam walked into the information center, picked up one of the free maps from the display by the door, and approached the cute bearded guy behind the counter. Does this map show all the tunnels and campgrounds? I'm heading for Linville Falls tonight, and I'd like to keep track of where I am during the day.

It does, but man, I'm glad it's you, not me. That's a long way to go on this type of road in one day on a motorcycle. Good luck with that.

Adam smiled and thanked him. Walking back outside, he took one last look around, decided he probably didn't need to walk up the trail to the scenic overlook, and instead walked back to his bike. He put his helmet back on, climbed on the bike and headed back to the highway.

He had no idea that he wouldn't be making the campground that day.

God, I love these. Adam's spirit was flying as he roared into yet another of the stone tunnels along the route. This one, the Pine Mountain Tunnel, was supposedly the longest on the Parkway and it was even better than the previous ones. As he rode into the pitch-black darkness, his light glinted off the reflective lane markers along the center line. Just imagine how much stone is over my head right now, wish this would go on for miles.

Adam pushed his acceleration up and zoomed through the darkness toward the light that he could now see at the other end. Within seconds he flew out into a torrential rainstorm. What the fuck, it was just sunny!

Adam's bike slammed into a huge mud puddle, splashing water up and all over him, effectively drenching him before the heavy rain even had time to get him wet. He slammed on his brakes and tried to come to a rapid stop. Instead, his large, heavy motorcycle slid sideways in the loose mud and the next thing he knew he was going down. His bike hit the ground on its right side and then stalled, leaving Adam lying on the ground with it. He groaned. Damn, that's going to hurt later.

Daniel Mitton is not a statistic. When the doctors broke the news to him that he would be dead by the end of 2013 from brain cancer, he scoffed at them. He has proven them incorrect, and continues to prove them more incorrect every day.

He is now pursuing his lifelong dream of telling other people his stories in writing. His overactive imagination used to get him in trouble. It will be interesting to see what happens this time.

My Name Was Karl is his first self-published work, but he already has two other books in a queue somewhere at a publisher.

Daniel was born and raised in northern New Hampshire, but now lives in sunny Southwest Florida with his husband of nearly twenty-eight years. He totally doesn't get why some people complain it is too hot in Florida!

Ripping Off The Mask by Harper Jewel - 5 Star Review

Picture
Thirteen years after high schooler Cooper Brandt suffered a life-altering tragedy, Newark Police Sergeant Cooper Brandt suffers yet another earthshaking misfortune while on duty. As a result, he lets the mask he donned because of his first grief-filled setback slip. When overwhelming guilt consumes him for a second time, an unexpected, and oftentimes unwanted, helping hand tries to force him into making a choice: face his demons and rip the mask off, or continue living a lie while his facade stays put.

Upon his move to New Jersey, aqua therapist Dr. Westley James meets his toughest patient yet when a snarly police sergeant accuses him of duplicity at the start of their first session. When he discovers the reason for Cooper’s ornery attitude, an odd, empty feeling he’s lived with for as long as he can remember begins to fill in like missing pieces of a puzzle.

As a fragile relationship between Cooper and Westley grows, an unhinged sociopath threatens to ruin everything. Will fate force the emotionally bruised sergeant to fasten his mask on even more tightly, or will the couple’s blooming love and partnership be strong enough to help Cooper rip his mask off for good?

The author approached me and asked if I would review her book, and I have to say I am so glad that I agreed, as this was absolutely brilliant writing.  There were twist and turns that I was not expecting, but on the other hand, you knew something about a character that one of the MC’s didn’t, and sometimes it made me want to shout at the book!!

I am trying hard to write my review, without any spoilers,  (I hate reviews with spoilers with no warning).  This book, in my opinion, will really keep you gripped, and you will not want to put down until you have finished.  Of course you have the romance in the book, but it is the storyline running through the book that will keep you hooked.

I wasn’t sure what to make of Cooper when we first met him, and at times through the story, I wanted to smack him!  He is basically hiding who he is, and it takes something happening to him in the line of duty to actually look deep inside himself, together with the helping hand he least expected, or at times wanted.

Now Wes has moved to New Jersey, a new chapter in his life – until he gets a new patient which is Cooper, and boy will you take a dislike in a way to Cooper, but then again you know why he is acting like he is.  When Cooper finally tells Wes why he acted like he did, rather than being angry with him, it instead shows him that he was right that something was missing from his life.

The two begin a relationship, but unknown to them both, there is someone around that is not happy that they are now together, or is there something else driving this person to act like they are?  Can their new relationship withstand all this, and will Cooper be able to be true to himself, and rip off his mask, or will he stay hidden?

On Davis Row by N.R.Walker - 5 Star Review

What could an ex-con and a parole officer possibly have in common?

Nearing the end of a suspended jail sentence should unlock a brighter future for CJ Davis, only the chip on his shoulder is as hard to shift as his bad reputation. Born into a family of career criminals who live down Davis Road, an address the cops have dubbed Davis Row, his name alone is like a rap sheet that makes optimism impossible.

Brand-new parole officer Noah Huxley is determined to see the good in men like CJ. After all, he knows firsthand that bad things can happen to good people. His colleagues mock his doe-eyed optimism, but Noah soon sees CJ’s bad attitude and bravado are weapons he uses to keep people at a distance.

Both men know one simple mistake can change a life forever. At first glance, they might seem to be polar opposites. Yet underneath, they're not that different at all.

Picture
Wow, what a great read.  No this isn't a Christmas story, but it is one that I really did enjoy.  Once I started reading, I just couldn't put it down, and it pained me when I had to put the kindle down to charge!!

We meet Noah, who is just starting his first job as a Probation Officer.  He is super excited, and none of this seems to wear off when he arrives in the new office.  He is taking over from another Probation Officer, and he finds that he intends to do things very different to his predecessor.

One of the first people that Noah has to go and meet in their home, for a probation vist is CJ.  Now CJ does not like Probation Officers at all, and Noah is no exception.  He has a huge chip on his shoulder, but he is also someone who keeps himself to himself, almost like he doesn't want anyone to see him.

Noah is on a mission, and that is to help CJ whether he wants it or not.  Noah also finds CJ very easy on the eyes, and this attraction he does hide to begin with.  However, the more Noah tries to help CJ, the more there seems to be something between them, but to be honest neither of them know what to make of the attraction, and anyway they cannot act on it.

The more time they spend together, the closer they become and a lot of CJ's secrets come out, including some that he is ashamed of, but Noah has a way of calming CJ, of making sure he feels valued.

But, as is the way, life has the way of throwing a curve ball, but in this case it is more than one, and I have to be honest and say that it wasn't what I was expecting to happen, and N.R.Walker did this to me on at least three occasions - hence why I could not stop reading.

This is a book that I really enjoyed reading, the plot twists had me wondering what else could happen, and then I was also willing both Noah and CJ to keep together, not let things happen to their budding relationship, but I must confess to also getting angry at Noah at one stage!! He did redeem himself though. A book that I will be reading again.

Title: An Unlocked Mind
Series: Secrets Book #2
Author: K.C. Wells & Parker Williams
Genre: M/M Romance Light BDSM
Release Date: December 11, 2017
Rob Daniels is determined to prove to himself that his brother Alex got it wrong. Alex believes he found love through BDSM; Rob is certain that’s not possible. He even makes several visits to a London club to prove his point. But when he attends the grand opening of Secrets, Rob gets a shock, one that has him fleeing, vowing never to return—until he does… and runs into the brick wall that is Dom Vic Prentiss. As first meetings go, theirs is a disaster.
The more time he spends around Rob, the more convinced Vic becomes of two things—one, something is eating away at Rob, and two, he’s looking for something. Every instinct tells Vic to help him, but trying to unlock the secrets hidden in Rob’s mind requires a key. All Vic has to do is find it. Because maybe then he’ll get to see the real Rob, the man who’s scared to let go….
Picture
Well, I will be honest, I wasn't sure what I would think of this book, since it was about Rob Daniels (Alex's brother from An Unlocked Heart), and he was truly despicable person when we last saw him.
However, I was prepared to perhaps change my mind, and as I first began reading, I will admit I was smiling at how bad things were for him, and thinking well he deserved it all.  But,  the more I read, the more I realised that maybe there was so much more to Rob than I had previously thought.

Rob has struck a chord with me, he is not the arrogant, despicable person I once believed him to be - I think all this may have been a front for him, but he was been using this for so long he has no idea how to get rid of it.  I will also say that Rob was not as he seemed in the book with his brother Alex.  The Rob I am seeing now is a very insecure person, really lonely, and angry at himself and the world in general, but he is caught in a vicious circle that he has no idea how to escape from.  Now enter Vic, and boy is Rob confused with what he feels when he sees Vic!

Although they first met in Secrets (was great to see Eli and Jarod again), it didn't end well when Rob saw a demonstration in progress., and basically insulted Vic as he tried to get back out.  For some reason, when Vic left Secrets, he was looking out for the sub who had insulted him, but he didn't understand why.  When he finds him,, he acts totally out of character and takes him home with him, but only to keep him safe.

Once back home Rob's life seems to continue on a downward spiral, but the one thing that he thinks of constantly is Vic, and Rob is drawn to him, and uses more of his savings to try and see him again. All though this book, you can really get to feel the emotions that are running through Rob, and at times he more or less acts like a scared little boy - but this could well not be far from the truth, as you uncover more of his family life at home. - you can't help but really want to reach in and hug Rob - which is not something I thought I would say.

Although I did get frustrated with Rob, as sometimes he seemed like he was trying to ruin things, you also see how much he was craving the attention of Vic, even if it was to punish him.  For Vic, he was drawn to Rob, and to begin with he could see something within Rob, but would he be able to rid Rob of the protective shell he had, and show everyone the Rob that was hidden deep inside, and more importantly than that, show Rob the man one that he could be.

Ace and Gavin haven't had a threesome in far too long. When Ace meets the perfect guy to join them, he can't think of a better way to kick off the holiday season.

Jonathan is charmed by the sexy couple, and he quickly realizes that what started as a fling has the potential to be a whole lot more.

Gavin feels their connection just as strongly, but even after weeks of the three of them hanging out, he's afraid to suggest they turn their friends-with-benefits arrangement into a serious relationship.

The joy and shared experiences of the season have a way of making magic happen, if only all three men could find the courage to ask for what they want.

Picture
When I first started reading, I was wondering about the relationship between Ace and Gavin - but although they had threesomes before, it was just for one night but this wasn't the case with Jonathan.

Now as you read, you can see Jonathan is having doubts, but I think this was more to do with coming between Ace and Gavin, but the more time they spent together, the closer the three become. I think Jonathan was still wary of the relationship, as he was assuming that he was going to be the one left out in the cold.

However, what Jonathan didn't know, was that Gavin was wanting more, he was actually wanting Jonathan in his relationship with Ace on a permanent basis - but he hadn't even really told Ace.

The three see more of each other, and everything seems to be going well, until the night of the party that Ace and Gavin host, and Jonathan beats a hasty retreat, and now Ace and Gavin will have to work together to try and get Jonathan back where he belongs, as long as the three of them can be totally honest with each other.

A geek. A virgin. One sexy holiday.

Orphaned Lucas figures spending the holidays with his obnoxious roommate’s family in New York City is better than staying alone on campus upstate. He ends up sharing a room again, this time with his roommate’s brother, Nate. Geeky photographer Nate isn’t at all what Lucas expects. In fact, he’s incredibly sexy—especially when he invites Lucas into his darkroom...

They hide their attraction during Hanukkah celebrations, but behind closed doors, Lucas and Nate can’t keep their hands (or mouths) off each other. Nate’s only looking for a bit of holiday fun, and amazing sex with a hot virgin definitely fits the bill. Yet as the candles burn, Nate and Lucas begin to realize eight nights will never be enough.

This gay holiday romance from Keira Andrews features secret trysts, new adult angst, spinning the dreidel, and of course a happy ending.

Picture
I do believe that this is one of the first books by Keira Andrews that I have read, and it was an enjoyable read - even if I did have some tears at one point.....

You will really have the feels for Lucas, as he is now totally alone, doesn't seem to have many friends, and is having to share a dorm room with Sam, more or less his worst nightmare!!  When Sam's mother comes to collect him, she talks to Lucas, and when she realises he is going to be staying in the dorm alone, she tells him that straight out that he is coming back to the family house with them.

Once there, again Lucas has to share a room, but this time with Sam's brother Nate - something he is not looking forward to until he sets eyes on Nate.  Nate is a walking wet dream for Lucas, and it seems that the feeling is mutual.

Lucas and Nate keep things quiet, and it is only when they are alone that things really hot up between the pair, and they grow closer very fast, but to me it seemed like they had found their soul mate in each other - someone they could talk to with no judgement, and more importantly be totally honest with each other.

Nate isn't looking for anything other than a holiday fling, or rather that is how this starts out with them both, but as the days go by, both of them realise it is more than a fling - however, Nate has never told his family he is gay and seems terrified of telling them so. I think in some ways Nate feels overshadowed by his brother, who is everything that Nate isn't.

Can this Hanukkah Celebration be one that they will both remember?

Hiring a boyfriend for Christmas; what could possibly go wrong?

Derek is facing yet another Christmas where his life feels out of control. He has a new career that doesn’t feel like his, and parents who would just love to see him settled down. All he needs is a temporary buffer for the parties he has to attend, and for his parents to leave him alone. Enter, Luke.

Luke is twenty-thousand dollars short for the renovations on Halligans; his family’s bar in New York’s Financial District. A favor for a buddy has him agreeing to play the part of boyfriend to a guy with more money than sense.

But when the spirit of Christmas works its magic on the two men, and they begin to fall for each other, Derek runs scared, and Luke needs space.

It doesn’t matter what obstacles you throw in the way of love, or how much you run in the other direction, because, when you’re least expecting it, whether you want it or not, love happens anyway.

Picture
I have read quite a few Christmas stories, but I think this one is actually one of my favourites - probably why I have read this more than once, and will read again..... and again!

When you first meet Derek, he is trying hard to control things in his life, but it just isn't happening.  To try and make his parents believe he is happy, he has invented a boyfriend called "Marcus", and this seems to appease them until they decide they want to meet him..... and Derek now has to try and find someone to hire to play the role of "Marcus".

Now enter Luke, who needs money to help renovate the family bar, and while agreeing to help a friend out,  he is the one hired to play the role of "Marcus".  Sounds like an easy way to make money, but once he actually meets Derek, he seems rather uneasy about it all.

Derek is someone who actually comes across as unsure of himself, and seems to lack the confidence of what he can actually do. After spending time together, Derek and Luke seem to get on well, and Luke can actually see the real Derek lurking underneath, and tries to bring this Derek to the forefront.

Over the course of their set dates, they do seem to be growing closer, but neither of can actually tell the other exactly what they are feeling.  It is at this point, when I really wanted to reach inside the book and shake the pair of them!! Both Luke and Derek are finding that they are enjoying the time spent together, but both seem hesitant to admit this.

It takes someone more or less meddling to bring things out in the open, and perhaps now the two can actually talk to each other and be honest, and admit to each other that no matter how they met, that Love Happens Anyway.

Excerpt

I knew Marcus was six-two, just a little taller than me. I knew he had blue eyes, and dark hair with red tones in certain light. He had a brother, but they didn’t see each other much, being that his brother was in the Navy. His parents were retired in Florida, but they’d had Marcus and his brother Adam late in life. Marcus was twenty-nine, same as me with only a few months separating our birthdays, and he was a firefighter. Oh, and he was a good, kind man who was thoughtful all the time and treated me like a prince.

“That’s such a shame. Anyway, how are Marcus’ kittens?” Mom asked. I pulled myself back to what she was saying. It was never good to not pay full attention to anything Mom said, otherwise you’d end up agreeing to all kinds of things she’d throw at you when your defenses are down. I loved her dearly but she was sneaky like that.

Which is how I got myself into this mess with Marcus in the first place.

“They’re fine.”

“Did he find good homes for them?”

“Absolutely, the last of them went to a widowed grandmother in his apartment block.”

“Socks? The dark one?”

I glanced at my notes. “No, you remember Socks went to his uncle; Spider went to the old lady.”

“Oh yes, of course, although why someone would name a kitten Spider I don’t know.”

“There were spiders in the house where Marcus found the kittens.”

“I still don’t understand how there could be spiders in a burned-out house.”

Shit. “Spiders are hardy.”

“You said the house was razed to the ground, dear.”

Now I was losing the will to live. “Well, maybe the spider was outside. Mom, I need to go, Moira is at the door and she needs me to sign off on the new AbbaLister raisins account.”

“Of course dear, just, please tell Marcus he is welcome at any time. We so want to meet him and thought it’d be better at the house.”

“I will, I know he’s keen to meet you.”

“Oh good,” she said, and I knew I’d fucked up and somehow given her an opening. I’d never mentioned once that Marcus wanted to meet them, because that would just give them the impetus to take matters into their own hands. My worst fears were confirmed. “Oh, I’ve had the most wonderful idea.”

Oh God, what?

“Your dad and I are coming into the city on Monday; book us dinner on any night, or lunch, breakfast, anything. I want to meet this young man of yours and if it has to be in a restaurant then so be it.”

“I’m not sure—”

“Derek, he can’t be busy every night next week, and every lunchtime, goodness me, we’ll even take a quick coffee if that is all he can manage.”

Shit. Shit. And double shit.

“I’ll see what I can organize.” I kept my tone regretful, to at least give the impression I would try to organize them meeting Marcus, but that it would be unlikely.

We finished the call, and I replaced the handset in the cradle, fighting the urge to throw it against the wall, sit and cry at my desk, or maybe, less drastically, move to Montana and become a cowboy.

So many lies.

There was no Moira standing at my door. It was still closed and I’d lied to my mom.

There were no kittens, I made those up, and the spider story. The word spider came about because when I’d been talking to my mom about Marcus and the kittens, a tiny spider had crawled over my notes.

I closed the notebook in which I had the names of five kittens with their various characteristics listed.

Mom wanted to meet Marcus, any night, any lunch, anytime.

Which sucked big hairy balls.

Because that was another thing I had made up.

There was no Marcus either.

Length: 40,000 words approx.

Cover Design: Meredith Russell

Blurb

Sebastian Bennett is really looking forward to his Christmas holiday with boyfriend Elliot Bolton in the Gran Canarian sun. The only thing left is for him to sing one last song at the pub as his Drag Queen alter-ego, Donna Tracey. After the wig, make-up and dress come off, he rushes home to pack, only to find he and his chihuahua, Buster, have been deserted by Elliot, who’s taken someone else to Gran Canaria. Devastated, Elliot turns to his friend and the pub’s manager, Javier Reyes-Martinez, who helps him pick up the pieces.

Javier seems determined to bring fun and laughter back into Sebastian’s life during this holiday season, and Sebastian is both grateful and enchanted. After a family Christmas and a word of advice from his great-uncle, Sebastian starts to look at Javier in a different light. Is Javier as fond of Sebastian as he appears, or is Sebastian being misled by his own need? If he’s reading the signs right—and if he’s ready to move on from his previous heartbreak—could he and Javier be much more than friends?

This is yet another new to author but I can honestly say that I really enjoyed this book, and I will definitely be looking for more by this author.  I will also say, I totally love the cover of this book too.

Just imagine, you are singing in a pub, you finish your songs and then get home quick as you can. You are meant to be travelling away for Christmas, but you arrive home to an empty house - well except for the dog.  You find a note from Elliot (your boyfriend), who has gone on holiday, but with someone else..... Yes, this just happened to Sebastian.

Sebastian is devastated by the betrayal, but he has a Javier to turn to. What Sebastian doesn't realise is that Javier is actually quite taken with him, but he seems totally oblivious.  Javier and Sebastian end up spending Christmas together with Sebastian's family, and the two seem to grow closer.

However, back home it seems to all change again.  You can tell that Javier would jump at the chance to become Sebastian's boyfriend, but he holds back, not wanting to lose Sebastian's friendship as this is something he holds dear.  Sebastian sometimes thinks there is something more with Javier,  but decides he is just wishing for things that aren't there.

With a second visit to the family, and being told by them all that Javier has feelings for him, Sebastian takes time to actually look at Javier, to see if he can see something different with him.  If he is honest with himself, he soon realises that what he had with Elliot was not really love at all - but will he finally see what is straight in front on him?

This is a wonderful story, and I love the inclusion of Buster the dog in this - he will cause you some smiles too!  Especially as he seems to be an excellent judge of character with Javier, or it is just he loves being spoken to in Spanish!!

Author Bio

George was about eighteen when he told his friend that he was going to be a writer. It took him another eighteen years before he finally did anything about it and wrote his first short story. A typical Englishman, he drinks buckets of tea with milk—but no sugar, because he is sweet enough. His Nan told him so.

George lives just outside of London, but close enough to enjoy Soho and the West End, where you will find him in a bar with a pint, in a club dancing into the early hours of the morning, or enjoying a musical in the theater; but more than likely he will be in a coffee shop reading a book or writing a new story. Currently single, but taking applications for future husband position, George enjoys crafting romantic stories in which he hopes that one day, life will imitate art.

Blog Tour!!  Gay For Pay (Second Edition) - All Cocks Series Book 1 by T.M.Smith - 5 Star Review and Giveaway

12/1/2017

Gay for Pay was originally published in 2015. Flash forward nearly 3 years later and I have learned so much, become more comfortable as a writer and I'm writing better stories for my readers. So, my editor and I decided to go back to the book that started it all. It was the first book we worked on together and it was the first book in the now wildly popular All Cocks stories. I guess you could say we've come full circle.

The book is cleaner now, the overall flow of the story crisper and there is some additional content. So you definitely want to grab a copy! The book will continue to be sold for 99 cents on Amazon (also available in the All Cocks volume 1 box set - both files have been updated) and free from all other eBook online retailers. Buy links are below as well as an excerpt for your viewing pleasure.

This is an updated version of the book already released.  However, it has been a while since I read this story, so I decided to take part in the tour to read this book again - and I think I enjoyed it more this time around.

We meet Chris, who made a rash decision, but is still paying for what he did many years later - but guilt is playing a huge part of his life too.  I think he actually has to find a way to forgive himself for his mistake, and it seems that a leaftlet he picks up while out one night, might be just the thing for him - All Cocks.

Lincoln already works for All Cocks, but has just broken up with his boyfriend, and when a new person is brought into All Cocks, Lincoln looks on with interest, but at the beginning that is all it was - just looking, he is feeling too raw for look for anything else.

Chris is soon friends with Lincoln, but he is not sure how he feels about him, as he has only ever been with women, but for some reason Lincoln is making him feel things he hasn't felt for another man before.

The two grow closer, but both of them have to overcome the negative things in their lives.  Is it possible for them to find each other and help the other and become a couple.

“So that’s why you don’t like the guy, and here I thought it was his charming personality.” Chris was trying to lighten the mood, but he wasn’t certain it’d worked since Linc didn’t respond. They walked in relative silence for a while and Chris was enjoying the scenery but also starting to wonder how far out along the water they were going to walk. He stopped and turned back to look and see how far the house was, shocked when it looked tiny in the distance.

He spun around, intent on asking Linc if they could start heading back to the house, running right into a wall. Well, not a wall really, but Linc’s toned chest sure felt like one when Chris barreled into him. He reached up and gripped Chris’s arms to stop him from falling over. Chris smiled and moved to pull back, but Linc held him in place, their bodies just inches apart.

He opened his mouth to tell Linc to release him, but he couldn’t form the words. Chris shook his head, swallowing, trying to add a little moisture to his suddenly dry mouth. When Linc’s tongue darted out, running over his bottom lip, Chris inhaled a sharp breath and tried to break free of Linc’s hold once more, to no avail. If anything, Chris thought his grip tightened. “Can I kiss you?” Linc whispered, his body already slowly moving closer to Chris.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. He wanted Linc to kiss him, and it scared him shitless. In his head he was saying no; he was shaking his head vigorously, no! But his body had a mind of its own. He could feel his head nodding and he closed his eyes as Linc’s warm, wet lips touched his. The kiss was chaste. Linc didn’t press further than a simple peck on the mouth, though lingering for a long time. When Linc pulled away there was a low moan, and Chris’s knees almost gave out when he realized he was the one groaning.

He wanted so much right then. He wanted Linc to kiss him again. He wanted to turn and run away and never look back. Wasn’t this what he’d kept himself up half the night over, his memories of Amanda and the thought of betraying her with anyone else? It no longer mattered to Chris that the person he was thinking of being with was another man. The war raging in his mind didn’t stop Chris from reacting, wanting more. He leaned into Linc’s warmth for another kiss. This time Linc swept his tongue across Chris’s bottom lip, and when Chris moaned again, Linc took it as an open invitation and pressed his tongue into Chris’s mouth.

Chris’s inner monologue that was on constant repeat as of late sounded off in his fogged brain again. Holy fucking Christ. He could count the number of lovers he’d had in his short life on both hands, but not a damn one of them had ever kissed him the way Linc was kissing him right now. Not even Amanda. Amanda. The thought slammed into Chris’s chest like a boulder and he jerked back. “What’s wrong?” Linc asked, moving toward him, but Chris started walking backward, retreating.

“Nothing, it’s not you, I just…I just can’t.” He turned and ran then, ran all the way back to the house, up the stairs and into his room, slamming the door and locking it behind him.

Within minutes, Linc was at the door knocking and calling out for him. Chris didn’t answer him though, ignoring Linc’s pleas to open the door. “Please, Chris, talk to me.” His voice crawled through the tiny crevice at the bottom, reaching up and slapping Chris across the face. Linc sounded hurt, wounded. Still, Chris didn’t respond, nor did he open the door. Linc finally left him to his misery and Chris crawled into the bed, staring at the ceiling until he fell asleep.
