Reconnecting with Tyler helps Max settle back in, and it also leads to attraction. But when he tries to explore that connection at the grand opening of his tattoo studio—by kissing Tyler—awkwardness ensues. Max wants more, but has he misread Tyler’s signals?
As a single father raising a six-year-old daughter, Tyler doesn’t have much time to date. He’s ignored his attraction to men for years, but he can’t stop thinking about the kiss he shared with Max. If he can handle the complications of dating in a small town and the possible consequences to his career, this romance could blossom with all the colors of summer.
You can't help but love Max as soon as you meet him, he is returning to his home time, after being away, but is pulled over for speeding as soon as he arrives!! However, the Police Officer who stops him is Tyler, who is the brother of Max's childhood best friend.
Tyler still lives in Sweetwater, but with his young daughter, whose mother died when she was a baby. Tyler's life revolves around his work and his daughter, and nothing else. He definitely doesn't need anyone else, or so he thinks.
When Max works to get his new tattoo shop ready to open, and Tyler visits and the two men seem to strike up a friendship, enjoying each others company immensely. On the opening night party for the tattoo shop, Max seems to misread the signals that Tyler is sending, and kisses him..... and then things are not so clear between them.
Tyler has been attracted to men before, but for a long time, before his daughter was born, he has pushed this side of his feelings away. They do awaken though when he is with Max, but he seems really unsure of what to do about it, especially with his job - he loves his job, and doesn't want anything to jeopardise it.
However, Max and Tyler do grow closer, and the feelings grow on both sides, but although they are seeing each other, they keep things quiet, especially from their families. Is what they are feeling strong enough? Will Tyler finally grow comfortable with his feelings for Max?
Apart from being physically dependent on her laptop, Anna is enthusiastic about writing and producing local grassroots theater (especially at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where she can be found every summer), going to visit friends in other countries, and reading anything thatís put under her nose.
Anna claims her entire career is due to the love, support, prereading, and creative ass kicking provided by her best friend Jennifer. Jennifer refuses to accept responsibility for anything Anna has written.
