Duane Hart hasn’t had a lot go right in his life. His girlfriend recently broke up with him, taking everything that wasn’t nailed down or in his roommate’s name. Well, everything except the Yorkshire terrier that he didn’t want to get in the first place, and that she now refuses to take back. However, when he meets a handsome stranger and his pit bull in the dog park, will the blooming heat in his chest be able to convince him to start dating again? Or will fate prove love isn’t a walk in the park, after all?
We first meet Sullivan, who is most definitely out and wears it proudly!! He does have big dreams of being a dancer on Broadway, but instead of this he is working at a dance studio, trying to teach older people how to dance the foxtrot and tango. He does love dancing, but the job he currently has is slowly getting to him, mostly due to the obnoxious person who owns and runs the dance studio.
Sullivan shares an apartment with his best friend and his dog. It is walking his dog in the local dog park when he sees his future.... and we now we meet Duane.
Duane is busy licking his wounds, after his girlfriend seems to have taken everything he owned - except her dog, who leave lovely presents for Duane around the bedroom! I had to laugh at this part. Duane, at first, seems annoyed that the little dog has been left with him, but he soon realises that the little dog may be just what he needed. On a walk through his local park, he meets someone who is totally different to himself, but he is completely drawn to him.
The two tentatively try to begin a realtionship, but it is not without problems, and sometimes it seems like they are just too different, and are destined to never be together. But fate has other ideas for them, and not always in a nice way, so this will be a big test for both of them, and will prove one way or the other whether their relationship is worth persuing.
V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, yoga, belly laughs, walking, reading and writing lusty tales, Greek mythology, Torchwood and Dr. Who, the New York Rangers, comic books, and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a pair of geese, far too many chickens, and two steers.
When not writing spicy romances, she enjoys spending her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in one hand and a steamy romance novel in the other.
