I was not disappointed. Poor Daniel, he was in love with Christian, and this love was the reason for Daniel to leave Christian all those years ago, as this was the only way that Daniel thought he could protect Christian from his homophobic father, and there were also more secrets and reasons for Daniel to act like he did., which Christian knew nothing about.
Christian had previously asked Daniel to ask for help to deal with a man named Bryce, who was hurting some close friends, and Daniel helped without questioning anything, and there was still something between them even though neither would really acknowledge this.
When Daniel's father dies suddenly, things change dramatically for both Daniel and Christian, but not really in a good way. Bryce seems to appear out of nowhere again, this time threatening Daniel and those closest to him - namely Christian. So Daniel does all he can to keep Christian save, taking him away from everything, but is he keeping him safe or just taking him into more danger?
I am not going to spoil the plot, but there are certainly twists in the plot that you would have no idea about. When the secrets do finally come out, including one that will bring Christian to his knees, boy will you start reading faster to find out what happens!! I hope there is still another book in this series, as I would love to revisit all the couples again, and I hope that the next book will be Asher and maybe even with Tassos.
