Three years after his familyâs Secrets in the Air rocked Rhett OâNeilâs world, they crash it down â with disastrous consequences. With the FBI missions expanding overseas and Kaden leaving his job, Rhett and his grandfather agree â despite reservations â to give Annabelle the chance to take a more active role in the charter airline business. Unfortunately, a bird strike prevents the successful completion of her test flight. After Rhett ditches near a deserted island, the family must survive against the elements, and each another. Innocent mistakes jeopardize the life of one of their own, leaving No Time for Secrets.
No Time For Secrets (Book 2 in the Secrets Series) by Liz Borino!
This second book picks up 3 years later, Rhett and Kaden have been very happily married but who wouldn't be with these hotties. The FBI missions are expanding and now Kaden is leaving his nursing job to go with his husband on his overseas mission. Both Rhett and his grandfather agree that it's time for his sister to take on a more active role in the family charter airline business. It's time for Annabelle's pilot test and things don't go that well but Rhett is able to land the plane on a deserted island. Now the family has to survive the island and each other which is not that easy with this family!
I love the characters of Rhett and Kaden so very much and their connection is so beautifully romantic and incredibly hot. This book is so emotionally charged that I was falling so much for their story. Once they all ended up on a deserted island, I was like now the family secrets and drama will begin. Kaden is injured and Rhett is there for him and it actually makes their relationship even stronger if that was possible.
I love the writing style of author Liz Borino and how she creates such amazing characters like Rhett and Kaden and their undeniably beautiful marriage. She's so detailed with the story that it flows brilliantly with drama, intrigue, family issues and pure love. I liked how they ended up on a deserted island and having to deal with the elements of the island and also dealing with each other and their family secrets. This was such an intense story that I couldn't put the book down just like with book one-Secrets in the Air. Not everyone in this crazy family is so lovable but you understand them more and love or hate them, you can't deny what a brilliantly written story Liz Borino has written.
At ten a.m., Rhett wrapped his arms around Kaden and rested his head on his shoulder as they stood outside the plane laughing and asked, âYou arenât tired, are you?â
âNot dangerously so.â Rhett offered the best honest answer he could.
Kaden pressed their lips together. âI guess thatâs at least partly my fault.â
âPartly?â Rhett joked back. âYou kept me busy past the time we were supposed to go to sleep.â
âHey, I was ready to sleep, but you had other ideas. Then you woke me up earlier than we planned.â Kaden nibbled on Rhettâs earlobe as he spoke.
Rhett laughed harder, fully aware that Kaden had no complaints about their midnight or early morning activities. Nevertheless, he swatted his husband away. âPeople are around, and you canât finish what youâre starting.â
Before Kaden could respond, Pop and Martha came out of the airport. âReally, boys, you canât keep your hands off each other a few hours?â Martha asked.
âThe flightâs three hours, so weâll have to,â Rhett responded. âBut four hours? Thatâs wrong and unnecessary.â
âMy mistake.â She pecked Popâs cheek. âIâll see you on board. Fly safely, Rhett.â
âAlways.â He waited for her to board and regarded Pop. âI havenât seen Annabelle and Donnie, have you?â
Pop smiled at him. âIt must be rather difficult to keep track of your sister and nephew with your face stuck to Kadenâs, but no, I have not.â
