Now I am someone who doesn't always like the Alphas in these books, but Gunnar was someone who you couldn't help but like and even love him too. Thrown in the deep end with the death of his omega partner, he was caring for his young daughter alone, and often doubting he was doing the right thing.
Liam is an omega, who has moved his entire life to somewhere new, tryig to escape his stalker. He is trying to get his life in order, and mostly keeps to himself, I believe so he doesn't draw attention to himself, and inadvertantly give his stalker a way to find him.
Gunnar and his daughter adopt a kitten, but within the next few days, the kitten becomes ill, and the nearest place as Liam as the veterinarian, so that is where they go. Liam is wary of any Alpha, and when he meets Gunnar, he is no exception, but there is also a spark between them, which Liam tries hard to ignore. Gunnar is also very aware of Liam, and he doesn't seem to be over the death of his omega, so he is no way looking for someone to replace him, and help raise his daughter.
Liam and Gunnar meet quite often, especially with the sick kitten, and the two seem to grow closer, but Liam is still very wary but Gunnar is not your normal Alpha, and he cares about omegas he meets. Liam soon begins to realise that he does feel safe with Gunnar, but then his past comes rushing to meet him again.
Will Liam ever be safe, and will Gunnar be there for him??
I did enjoy this story, but to me personally I found it a bit rushed at the end - but this just my opinion, and I do love Alpha and Omega books, and this one was written so different to other books I have read I will be looking out for the next book in the series.
