Lonely physiotherapist Harry Foster has the world at his feet. A full client list, a six figure Instagram following, and a publishing deal for a book he doesn't have time to write until his agent offers him a break a retreat to the wild south west coast.
Cornish horseman Joe Carter is lonely too. Rescuing horses and managing Whisper Farm takes up most of his days, and by night he plays chicken with the farms perilous bank accounts.
At his sister's unwelcome suggestion, he rents his only bedroom to a bloke from the city, and when Harry arrives, he's everything Joe isn't calm, patient, and gorgeous enough to be exactly the kind of distraction Joe doesn't need.
Harry doesn't have time for distractions either even shirtless farmers riding bareback past his bedroom window but his moody host proves impossible to ignore.
On paper, they have nothing in common, but Joe is beautiful glorious, and when an accident puts his life in Harry's healing hands, the whisper of true love is inevitable. If the trouble that put the farm on its knees in the first place doesn't get in the way.
Now when I first met Joe, I will be honest and thought straight away I wasn't going to like him - but I was so wrong, and I think it was due to his actions, but as you read on, you soon realise that he is seems to use his anger as a shield, to protect himself.
Now Harry is totally different, but also someone who is (to me anyway) unsure of himself, but also confused as to what he really wants to do with his life. He has a job, and an amazing Instagram following, but he is alone. When he is offered a book deal based on his Instagram following, he accepts, but I think then wonders what he has done!
Harry rents the room in the farmhouse, but to begin with he is more or less obsessed with writing his book, but then things change. He then notices Joe, and a shirtless Joe is even better!! He begins to learn more about the farm, and I feel that he begins to relax there and be himself.
Joe tries not to notice Harry, but this is a lost cause, and the two do begin to get on together, even down to sharing a drink and other things! It doesn't look like it will change until Joe has an accident, and then Harry sort of seems in his element at the farm, it is like he feels his life has purpose again.
Before they have the chance to see if there really is something between them, fate seems to have other ideas, but just maybe if they are honest with each other, then they can both get past everything and have something really special.
