I loved Ash from the first page!! I think he so reminded me of when I first had my eldest son at home - your child comes first before anything, but you always have the constant worry of whether you are doing things the right way, but also wondering if you are the best person for your child.
Sean and his friends Eric and Leo moved nextdoor to Ash, although he had not met any of them. The first interaction he had with any of them had me laughing, although Ash it wasn't funny yo Ash. The trio then try to make amends, but it seems like Sean has designated himself the spokesperson for them.
When Sean sees Ash, he likes what he sees, and Ash is the same. However, Ash has come from a break up, from someone who was supposed to be there when the baby was born, but who had other ideas. This has put Ash off dating, and he has decided that his daughter Mia will come first, and dating can be put on the back burner for a while.
Sean and Ash see each other often, and a bond does seem to form between them, but it is clear that Ash is not looking for anything permanant, even though he is starting to have feelings for Sean. Sean is at a loss of what he can do to persuade Ash that he is in for the long haul, and that he, Ash and Mia could be a family...... it seems like nothing will change Ash's mind.
