We do meet the characters from the first book, and it was great to meet them again. I will admit, I wasn't sure what to make of Finn when we first met him, I sort of felt sorry for him, but then as I learnt more about him, that changed but to what I am not sure.
Now Aaron, he came across as someone who was really strong, but I think this was a show for people who didn't know him, and in some cases even for people who did. He was comfortable in his own skin, he knew he was bisexual, but this was something he just didn't advertise.
Aaron has a problem with his company, and he brings in MC Securities to help him restore order. Mind you, he asked for a fake boyfriend, which is not the way people usually meet the person who will come to mean everything to them, but this was definitely not the case when Finn and Aaron first met.
Finn is still reeling by his ex-boyfriend and best friends betrayal, and so the facade he puts on when he first meets Aaron has Aaron wanting to learn more about him. The two do actually grow closer the more time they spend together, at first as sort of friends, and then things shift dramatically one night, and end up with the two of them in bed together.
Aaron and Finn do grow closer and closer, and what Aaron feels is love, but Finn is starting to feel trapped. I think a lot of this is that he was kicked out of his home for being gay, and then the one person he cared for while in the military died when Finn was injured. I believe that Finn has no idea of what being in love feels like, and what he is starting to feel deep inside scares him into running away.
Now Finn running away is how he deals with things that are unsettling him, but will he be able to sort through his feelings to realise that what he is feeling for Aaron is love..... he doesn't need to fall in love with him, he is already in love with him.
Can Finn sort through everything before he actually loses Aaron for good.
