Hunt saboteur Rae can’t believe his luck when he wakes up the next morning. Cash is gorgeous, and the hottest hook up he’s ever had. He doesn’t expect to see him again, until a twist of fate lands him on Cash’s doorstep a few months later.
United by a cause that’s broken Cash before, they are drawn together. They have more in common than they ever imagined, but with Cash haunted by the past, and Rae so tangled in the present, it’s not long before love isn’t enough to keep them alive.
Cash in a previous life was a hunt saboteur, but after an incident that more or less crushed him, he found that his love of cars helped him find a job working as a car mechanic. He doesn't speak about his past, and even Lucky doesn't have any idea of what he used to do.
Now Rae is another Hunt saboteur, but he is still active, unlike Cash. Cash and Rae meet in a pub, and have a truly memorable one night stand, only knowing each others names and nothing else.
It seems like fate has ideas for them to meet, but it is not a happy joyful reunion. Cash seems so unhappy that Rae is a saboteur, and had vowed never to go back to that, I think as he wonders if it will finally break him. Rae is also conflicted, his desire for Cash is huge, but Cash's reaction to finding him on his doorstep asking for help for the other saboteurs shows him that there is something driving Cash to stay away.
After some time apart, Cash and Rae seem to reach an understanding, and they meet when they can and the feelings really start developing. But yet again, fate has to try and step in again, this time though the consequences are further reaching, but is it love that they both feel and is this love strong enough to sustain them through a really black time in their lives?
This story is quite the emotional ride as you read. You see everything happening from both Cash and Rae's point of view. Dom, Lucky and Isha also appear in the story, and we also meet some new characters too - although I am not sure if they will be getting a story.
