Alec Knight, a beta in the Regent’s Park pack, guards his heart carefully. Ghosts from his past keep him alone and angry, any hope of a relationship impossible while guilt from the pack wars still haunts him. With the anniversary drawing near, Alec needs a distraction.
As a lowly member of the Primrose Hill pack, Mark Appleton isn’t used to having his alpha’s attention. Lately he’s had more than his fair share, and not for the right reasons. Despite growing suspicions that all is not well, Mark tries hard to do better, but constant criticism leaves him desperate for a stress outlet.
Sex is a good way for shifters to let off steam, and while their packs attack each other with accusations and lies, Alec and Mark work out their frustrations in bed. Pillow talk and shared secrets lead to a closeness neither was expecting, but when pack relations reach an all-time low, any future for them seems out of the question.
If they want to be together, they’ll have to go against their alphas’ wishes—except Alec won’t and Mark can’t.

Alec, when you met him in previous books, comes across as someone who is never happy and hasn’t got a clue how to smile. He is also quite standoffish to people he doesn’t know, but as you read this book, it soon becomes apparent that there is a reason for how for acts.
Now Mark is totally different, he is someone who doesn’t like to cause trouble, and is guided by his Beta and also the Alpha of the Primrose Hill Pack. He soon finds that he is in the sights of the Primrose Hill Pack Alpha, and he doesn’t like this, but he must obey his Alpha.
After a particularly bad day, both Alec and Mark meet while out looking for someone to relief their stress. It was only supposed to be the one night, but it doesn’t happen like this, and the two secretly meet each other, in the beginning just for sex, but feelings begin to change for both of them.
However, they come from rival packs who are not on good terms with each other, but to begin with, this doesn’t seem to deter them, but as events start unfolding it becomes more dangerous for them to meet, but what should they do?
It soon becomes clear, that even though they have grown really close, that there doesn’t seem any way that they can be together, the bond between them is strong, but is there any chance of them being together without going against their Alphas’?? Before they have the chance to find out, events seem to spiral out of control, and does this then cost them the chance of a relationship??
I have to say that I really enjoyed this whole series, and I actually had all three books, so I had a complete Regent's Park Pack binge over the last couple of days. This is also a series that I know I will read again and again. I hope to read more books like this from the author.
