Born and raised in Fort Worth Texas by open-minded parents, Dean Anderson realized early in life he was attracted to both sexes. Equal opportunity, he picked his lovers based on personality and common interests. He met Maggie in college, fell in love, got married and started a family. And they were happyâ¦until they werenât.
Adam Chaseâs mother is South African, his father American military working at the US Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa. His parentsâ positions in the South African and American governments awarded Adam dual citizenship, and he attended University in America, at Berkley. In America, Adam is lives openly as a gay man, something that could get him killed in his motherâs home country. He met his husband, Patrick Carter, at college and they too were happyâ¦until Patrick died.
Two lives converge, and it would seem fate is giving them each a second chance at happiness, together. Dean stays in New York and moves into the apartment his son, Dusty, shares with his boyfriend David. He and Adam are quickly welcomed into All Cocksâ vastly growing family. And then one phone call changes everything.
The men of All Cocks learn that death is just another part of life, a road everyone travels eventually. Choices are made, decisions that change their lives irrevocably. They rally together, drawing strength from each other as their close-knit family experiences the best and worst life has to offer. But thatâs what families do, right?
We met both Dean and Adam in the previous book Hide and Seek, and you couldn't help by laugh at their antics!! Just shows that you can find love at any age.
As you begin reading, we find out about Adams life previously, where he was married, but sadly his husband Patrick died. You also read more of Dean and Maggie, who still have a love for each other, but are better as friends than married.
Both Adam and Dean are nervous about the attraction they feel for each other, and I think both are wondering if things are happening too fast to be real, is it just lust they are feeling? Time will tell.
They meet as often as they can, and they seem to be building a relationship, and then Deans ex-wife Maggie and her fiance Issac arrive with their new baby son, and rather than make things worse, it seems to bring Adam and Dean closer together.
They all get pulled into the All Cocks family, which seems to be growing bigger and bigger.. It all seems quite foreign to Dean, but the more time he spends there, he realises that this is an extension to the family.
Now is when you will actually need the tissues, as then comes the death, but not necessarily who you think. It is also quite obvious now how big the All Cocks family are, because as soon as the news breaks, there is a an enormous amount of grief, but also the support needed to get through things.
This book is so different to the other ones, but I think this is because it is the older men who have fallen into the love trap. I loved how Adam and Dean grew closer, and seeming to know what the other needed without words. It was also great to see all the guys from previous books, and see how their lives were changing too.
If you have loved the All Cocks series so far, then this book you will love too, although different to the other books, it will also hold you completely as you turn the pages.
