The Rowe brothers are famous hockey hotshots, but as the youngest of the trio, Tennant has always had to play against his brothers’ reputations. To get out of their shadows, and against their advice, he accepts a trade to the Harrisburg Railers, where he runs into Jared Madsen. Mads is an old family friend and his brother’s one-time teammate. Mads is Tennant’s new coach. And Mads is the sexiest thing on which he’s ever laid eyes.
Jared Madsen’s hockey career was cut short by a fault in his heart, but coaching keeps him close to the game. When Ten is traded to the team, his carefully organized world is thrown into chaos. Nine years his junior and his best friend’s brother, he knows Ten is strictly off-limits, but as soon as he sees Ten’s moves, on and off the ice, he knows his heart could get him into trouble again.
This is the first of the books in the Harrisburg Railers Series, and what a great start to the series. You will love Tennant as soon you meet him, and you won't be able to help but smile sometimes with his thoughts of what he thought when he looked at Jared (Mads).
Now Mads is attracted to Tennant too, but as he is his friends baby brother, Mads doesn't act on his feelings at first - hoever, what he doesn't realise is that one Tennant has seen something he wants, and he wants Mads big time, he will go after him, and once that happens Mads stands no chance at all.
One big thing though, is that Tennant has not told anyone he is gay, and this is a big part of the story, and how he deals with this and how his brothers react too. They still think of him as the youngest of them, and at times not capable of making his own decisions - they seem to have missed that he is now a grown man.
In this story, you are with both Tennant and Mads as they begin a relationship, but then also with Tennant when he decides that he must tell others he is gay - he was scared to do so before, especially in the world of hockey, but now he as a great reason for telling everyone, and that is so he can be with Mads when he wants.
